fully functional⁷ @functionalfan.myatproto.social · 02/07/2026If you can manage to look at the audience and not just at Hoseok, you can see a rainbow flag in the audience. Pride flags belong at BTS concerts! 051

fully functional⁷ @functionalfan.myatproto.social · 17/03/2026I was wrong in saying it only blooms once a year - this plant wanted to break the mold just like Yoongi and made a second flower a few days later that also bloomed and withered in the span of a single day. First time I've experienced this! 081
fully functional⁷ @functionalfan.myatproto.social · 09/03/2026Happy Birthday Yoongi! In honor of your birth, our wandering iris decided today's the day to bloom (it only blooms once for one day each year). So this year thank you especially for all the comfort you bring us with your art and kind actions. 050
fully functional⁷ @functionalfan.myatproto.social · 08/03/2026Never too late to learn something new about myself, I guess. Thank you especially to all the people being horny for BTS on my feed - it was the last push to realize that maybe I do not, in fact, experience sexual attraction the same way 😅 280

![[quote slighty shortened to fit alt text limit]
I feel a little crazy every time I write one of these pieces, because it's patently ridiculous. Generative AI is unprofitable, unsustainable, and fundamentally limited in what it can do thanks to the fact that it's probabilistically generating an answer. It's been eighteen months since this bubble inflated, and since then very little has actually happened involving technology doing new stuff, just an iterative exploration of the very clear limits of what an AI model that generates answers can produce, with the answer being "something that is, at times, sort of good."
It's obvious. It's well-documented. Generative AI costs far too much, isn't getting cheaper, uses too much power, and doesn't do enough to justify its existence. There are no killer apps, and no killer apps on the horizon. And there are no answers.
I don't know why more people aren't saying this as loudly as they can. [...]
It's all a disgraceful waste.](https://cdn.bsky.app/img/feed_thumbnail/plain/did:plc:ywy7q7vaj37kwn24jnxj2ghy/bafkreicjeqtqmayljvafbs6djm3yuxhxkhh52pmlxlzuo2gd6amgelze4m)
