Imaging Neuroscience: The First 3 Years—Editorial Thanks to our Editorial Board, reviewers, and authors, who trusted this would work, and moved with us to the new journal. It exists because the community supported the idea behind it; its success belongs to that community. doi.org/10.1162/IMAG...

Have you ever felt like something was missing from your #fmri results? Have you been worried about potential reproducibility issues? Well, this new @natmethods.nature.com article with 40+ coauthors shows how the simple change to transparent thresholding helps both. Go Figure! rdcu.be/B4tikBETdQZa
A comparison of old and new thresholding approaches for fMRI data. The newer, transparent thresholding allows for interpreting context, more complete modeling, a reduction of biases and an increase in meaningful content. This all leads to more accurate interpretations and improved reproducibility evaluations.

A new FSLeyes is out, with a few bug fixes, and one new feature - you can now modulate line vector width by another image (or modulate the line length, opacity, or brightness). Full changelog at open.win.ox.ac.uk/pages/fsl/fs...

The result of a large (42 authors!) collaboration: "Go Figure: Transparency in neuroscience images preserves context and clarifies interpretation" arxiv.org/abs/2504.07824 TL;DR: The FMRI world can (and should) improve results interpretation and reproducibility *today*, via transparent thresholding.
