Big news! I'm going to grad school in Scotland this year. The full writeup is here: fruchtfleisch-art.tumblr.com/post/8230733...

OP's lemur fursona, Stellar, stands in the foreground with two suitcases and their cat tucked under one arm, a supremely gormless expression on their face.

In the background, pterosaurs, plesiosaurs, and a sauropod can be seen traversing the landscape of the Isle of Skye.

Rough day, so have a poem about the Jar of Moles in the Grant Zoology Museum in London that everyone has regarded as too thoroughly batshit to publish

Jar of Moles (Grant Zoology Museum, London)
crittery dozened things each pink snout snootling
formaldehyde up it's bamboozler which poor fuck
had to collect them out in the dirt with a shovel
here moley moley BONK . I’m only gonna
put you in a jar and let tourists go eww at you
for the next two hundred years god look at me
for two hundred years I’d do anything look
mummy, one of them’s licking the glass—
honey it's dead velvety sweet sardined hope
their ghosts are friends teeming in a molish
afterlife dark and circular everything worm-
flavoured tasty buggy snackerels what if
you smashed the mole jar? vinegared
moles spilling out flaccid & swimming
everyone screaming someone saying Freddy
you gotta get us a new jar of moles—
—goddammit boss I never asked for any of this

A jar of wet preserved moles, the jar is very full and all the little hands, feet and snoots mark it as both upsetting and fascinating

#sakuracon2026 is next week! I'll be hosting an #Arcane fan panel on Friday with @t0ytle.bsky.social and @/overhaulisms (tumblr), talking all about the moms! We will have ribbons! Freebies! Hardcore analysis of maternal themes and imagery! It'll be great. Please stop by! #sakuracon #viktorarcane

A screencap showing Sakura-con's schedule. The fan panel "Exploring Motherhood in Arcane" is taking place on 4/3/2026 at 9:30 pm in the room Arch 310.

Description: What if Arcane didn’t stop at the question: “is there anything so undoing as a daughter?” We’re asking: is there anything so undoing as a mother? From unpacking how their roles shape the narrative, to defining what makes someone (or something) a mother, join us in our hexploration of maternal themes in Arcane. Don’t forget to stick around for some freebies after the panel!

An edited screencap from the tv show Arcane: League of Legends. Viktor holds two badge ribbons that say "Amomaly" and "Hexmother" on them. The subtitles read: "Um, the form is crude, but..."

Picture of a purple button badge depicting a simplified Machine Herald giving a thumbs-up while making the "ok" hand sign with his hexclaw. The text reads: "I got my Hexbortion at the 2026 Arcane Mother Panel".

New 1K #fanfic for #thesummerhikarudied / #光が死んだ夏! Yoshiki goes for a nice relaxing forest walk that definitely isn't a metaphor for something. Some #bodyhorror occurs.

AO3 screenshot of a T-rated The Summer Hikaru Died fanfiction titled "Nobody's coming, nobody knows".

The description: "It was really, really dark up ahead. Just layers and layers of trees, all tangled up in each other until not even the light could penetrate. He didn’t want to see what was moving around in that green-hued darkness, breaking branches or whatever.

Yoshiki goes looking for something he didn't actually want to find."

A screenshot excerpt from "Nobody's coming, nobody knows".

The text reads: "Warm droplets spattered Yoshiki’s face as he pushed his way into the forest. Rain was still pattering down, slightly offset by the canopy overhead: a little water would hit his head, then a fat droplet would go straight down his back, no real rhythm to it. The ground cover was good and sodden now, and in a matter of minutes his socks were soaked, his pants cuffs dark with slime. It smelled like humus here in the shade, like dead trees with bark flaking off in thick black chunks, like worms and beetles and little crawly things trundling through the mud, making tracks, chewing.

He went on."

One thing I love about JayVik that Viktor desires connection/understanding, but struggles to reach out to people, while Jayce is one of the most sociable characters in Arcane. I think they would have been just as good friends as kids as they were in adulthood :') They compliment so well!

I enjoy how simple her core concept is (wife who hates you -> wife who loves you for shallow reasons), it's such a cute-funny mixture to me and it plays so well with Kira's over-serious nature. Every shonen manga should have a nasty housewife with weird taste in men.

(10/24) And a followup doodle comic, because I love Kira torture and I love when he's miserably confused about being nice to women. #jjbansfw #jjba #kawajirishinobu #kirayoshikage #kirashino #artsky #fanart

Digital fanart of Kawajiri Shinobu and Kira Yoshikage from Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. This page is a loose comic, with panels demarcated by rounded squares of canvas-textured colors.

Shinobu is dressed in a skimpy cat-themed outfit, nervously covering herself up with the fuzzy tail. She says, "Gosh, now that I'm wearing it, I feel kind of silly... You don't think I look too gross, right, Kosaku?"
Lighter text next to her says, "Is it the way you pictured?"

In the next panel Kira is holding a book, looking comically stunned. He says, "Uh." The following two drawings are identical to this one, aside from Kira growing sweatier. After a pause, he says "I think... you look just like a mommy cat should. Honey." In the final drawing, his eyes are pointing up and to the right, where a new panel labelled "Figure 1:" shows a tabby-and-white cat with its tail lifted high. An arrow points to its fluffy belly, labelled "primordial pouch".

In the next panel, Shinobu is hugging Kira, saying, "Ohhhh, sweetie!!! You always know just what to say to cheer me up!" Kira has a hand petting her head, looking weary, thinking, "Why did I say mommy cat".
