I remember when the Switch 1 launched and you could get physical copies at Walmart for $50 instead of $60 - I don't even know why. I guess to make money, because I bought so many physical copies while that was going on. They stopped right around when Brothership came out, I believe.

I think you misread that part of the thread. Those two comments are specifically talking about DLSS 4 and older, and they are correct. They aren't excusing DLSS 5 - on the contrary, they're highlighting how it's different from previous versions.

The doxxer got doxxed back because he left too many clues that got traced back to a speeding ticket in his name, lol. The funniest part was that the doxxer was warned people had his info repeatedly (even putting in tiny identifying clues so he knew they really did), but he taunted them repeatedly

Yuzu is dead, but Citron and Eden are still going, which are both based on Yuzu. I'm interested in the source about selling TotK, though. Not trying to defend the team, they were taking money for early access and sharing roms behind the scenes, but I hadn't heard about them selling roms.

But as for your last point, I'm pretty sure that can't happen due to the open nature of Linux. I mean, it kind of already did with IBM buying Red Hat and the drama that happened with RHEL after that. But because Linux is an open ecosystem, the community picked up the pieces.

I agree with your overall point - Linux isn't perfect and you still might need Windows to do specific things. And I also don't agree with the stereotypical Linux elitism that often comes at people expressing dissatisfaction with Linux's issues.
