405 lb deadlift, 20 lb improvement over my old personal best, and first time with 4 full size plates! Super stoked about this one.

Booting this cartridge for the first time in 20+ years and seeing my original 120 star save was something I struggle to describe with words. Sounds silly, but games have been so important to me for my whole life. I'm so genuinely happy to be able to experience this again.

The deed is done. Wish I'd had the foresight to copy my save so I could go for 100% scans... Alas, I'll just have to play it again later. Overall, great game. I think Prime Remastered is still my favorite, but this was worth the 18 year wait.

Even though it's quickly rocketed its way into my top 10 games of all time, Chrono Trigger still commits the cardinal JRPG sin of having a boss fight that forces the player to rely on a single gimmick to win. Fuck the Golem Sisters.

An image showing the game Chrono Trigger. The Golem Sisters are at the top of the screen facing the viewer, while Marle, Crono, and Lucca are at the bottom of the screen facing away.

The Golem Sisters are two golden colored monsters covered in spikes, with large bodies with huge mouths in the belly area.

Marle sports a blonde ponytail and white outfit, Crono has his iconic spiky red hair and blue tunic, and Lucca is wearing a green helmet, orange shirt, and shorts.

It's been recommended to me so.many.times over the years, but I'm finally giving it a shot. First time playing Chrono Trigger, starting with the DS version (on a real 3DS to boot)! Already so stoked for this!

I loved Mega Man Battle Network as a kid. I still have my original MMBN cart, actually! So color me mega surprised (get it?) to learn I missed out on the entire MMBN-adjacent series Mega Man Star Force on DS 🤯 That's okay, we're quickly rectifying that, and with a quality of life romhack to boot!

It's funny, I absolutely loathe olives with every fiber of my being, but this evo line was one of my favorites in gen 9. It's just so well done, and Grass/Normal is a neat typing. I'm also very partial to how cute the whole line looks in Radical Red's traditional pixel art style.
