Reposted by FrooxiusFirr @firr.bsky.social · 6hI'm gonna gush for a bit. Resonite is one of the coolest things I've ever been a part of. Its approach to building and sharing is just so novel and fun to see and experience. Everything about resonite is built to spark curiosity and I want nothing more than to see it grow. 68534
Frooxius @frooxius.bsky.social · 5hBut man... surviving for 3 years is rough. I desperately want us to move into a thriving stage. We need more support. Being in survival state requires a lot of personal sacrifice. From me and from the rest of the team. Doing it for so long is taking its toll. 0384
Frooxius @frooxius.bsky.social · 5hOh geez, it's been three years already. I haven't even realized it's today. On one hand... yay we survived three years! On the other... how are we still surviving, everything feels like it's on fire lately! So on the third hand (which is a foot) - thanks everyone for helping us survive. 56719
Frooxius @frooxius.bsky.social · 7hPupil dilation is one of the reasons I stick with my Vive Pro Eye headset. It's such subtle, but cool eye tracking feature. 0282
Reposted by FrooxiusModern @modernballoonie.bsky.social · 17hSo after messing around for about 12 hours today looking for a thing to do pupil dilation on the frame before the babble stuff comes out, I found a thing: github.com/sasaken1102r... This really isn't a proper implementation in Resonite but it kind of works for now. 2526
Frooxius @frooxius.bsky.social · 06/10/2026👀 Is this Control Resonant themed? It looks very Control Resonant themed :3 140
Frooxius @frooxius.bsky.social · 06/10/2026Yeee! It's really good and wonderfully weird. I had @glitchfur.net watching me while I play too :3 010
Frooxius @frooxius.bsky.social · 06/10/2026I'm full of sadness now. (I completed Control Resonant and all the side missions) 3180
Frooxius @frooxius.bsky.social · 05/10/2026It's one thing to use or not use something yourself. And another to make rules where people with different opinions and views can coexist. Making people be able to coexist with something so divisive and heated is hard. 230
Frooxius @frooxius.bsky.social · 05/10/2026Yeah. I think it's also a difference between having your own opinions and preferences and making changes to force them on others. I think everyone has to reach their own conclusions and have a space where they can do that. And sometimes those conclusions will differ from mine. 120
Frooxius @frooxius.bsky.social · 04/10/2026Also one more thing before you ask - no, I don't use AI to write code Resonite. I take pride in designing the architecture of the systems on my own and the code is written by hand (save for some boiler-plate autocomplete or meta-programming generated code). I like build things for long term. 0594
Frooxius @frooxius.bsky.social · 04/10/2026But now I'm worried if we'll even be able to weather this storm as independent company. We've been put in a situation where it seems there's no decision we could make that would avoid losing the support we need to survive. 1360
Frooxius @frooxius.bsky.social · 04/10/2026However I don't think pushing those concerns should ever come at cost of hurting creators who do care about this stuff and companies who did not create this situation in the first place. At the end of the day, I just want to create cool stuff and let my creativity flow. 1370
Frooxius @frooxius.bsky.social · 04/10/2026I love the joy of creating things and meticulously crafting things so they're the way I want them. I share a lot of the concerns around generative AI, the way it's trained, used and the impact it has. 1360
Frooxius @frooxius.bsky.social · 04/10/2026We haven't created the situation, we're not the ones training on people's data without consent, we're not building data centers, we're not pushing it down people's throats or even adding any native features. Yet we end up being the ones who end up suffering for this, no matter what we do. 2443
Frooxius @frooxius.bsky.social · 04/10/2026We side with one, lose support of the other, we likely die. We side with the other, lose support of the other part, we likely die too. We try to find compromise... we maybe lose both and die. 1370
Frooxius @frooxius.bsky.social · 04/10/2026I'm not a big fan of generative AI myself, but what's the worst about it, that regardless of my opinion on it, it makes it really difficult for small companies like us to survive. On one hand, we have people who want it banned completely. On other we have a chunk of people who use it a lot. 38011
Frooxius @frooxius.bsky.social · 04/10/2026I've been there too! Though from the Nevada side (we drove from Reno). Lake Tahoe is beautiful as well. The water looks so crisp. 010
Frooxius @frooxius.bsky.social · 04/10/2026It was the right day for that. We stayed there for almost a week, so the weather went through a bunch of different things. What's funny is that day in the morning there was nearly zero visibility and then it cleared up to this kind of view.week.tl 010

Frooxius @frooxius.bsky.social · 03/10/2026Here's another timelapse I did in the Smoky Mountains. A bit shorter, but more during the daylight. #tennessee #smokymountains #timelapse 3404

Frooxius @frooxius.bsky.social · 03/10/2026I recently spent some time with @glitchfur.net (and bunch of friends from Resonite) in the Smoky Mountains in Tennessee. It's very beautiful there, I made this timelapse during one of the days! #tennessee #smokymountains #timelapse 3537
Frooxius @frooxius.bsky.social · 03/10/2026Yeah, that's other part of it too. I feel like a lot of people lost ability to disagree on things without becoming enemies. Some extreme things I'd get that stance on, but definitely happens for more things than it should. 030
Frooxius @frooxius.bsky.social · 03/10/2026I feel it should be more okay to take the stance of "I'm going to wait until I have more information" before jumping to a conclusion. I often see people make a conclusion on something right away, on very limited information. It's okay to not make up your mind on something right away. 58525
Frooxius @frooxius.bsky.social · 03/10/2026I've used it, as well as few others, but I found it a bit lacking. I'm gonna give it some more tries. 010
Frooxius @frooxius.bsky.social · 02/10/2026It makes it non-viable solution for me. Like I need to find some viable solution, otherwise it'll block me from making the switch. 000
Frooxius @frooxius.bsky.social · 02/10/2026It's going to add too much friction to what I need to do unfortunately. 120
Frooxius @frooxius.bsky.social · 02/10/2026Yeah that's unfortunately adding a lot more overhead to the whole process, making it too cumbersome. I'll poke around different solutions and see what would work. 010
Frooxius @frooxius.bsky.social · 02/10/2026I tried using it, but it's kinda janky and lacking in my experience. At least coming from Adobe Premiere Pro. I might need to play with it some more, but it feels like a lot of the simple common tasks are just convoluted. 000
Frooxius @frooxius.bsky.social · 02/10/2026I need to edit H.264 and AAC pretty frequently, so that doesn't really help me unfortunately. 200
Frooxius @frooxius.bsky.social · 02/10/2026Well that's the thing - H.264 and H.265 are not supported in the free version on Windows. Some other codecs aren't. 100
Frooxius @frooxius.bsky.social · 02/10/2026Yeah. I was a bit shocked to learn the disparity between the two :/ I thought they'd essentially be the same. 000
Frooxius @frooxius.bsky.social · 02/10/2026I might've hit another snag with my plans to switch to Linux. My goal was to switch to DaVinci Resolve, which seems quite good on Windows. But on Linux, the codec support is very limited, making it pretty much unusable. 8200
Frooxius @frooxius.bsky.social · 02/10/2026I'm not talking about code. I'm talking more administrative/business things. Also only some parts are open source. People already help with those. But again, not what I'm talking about. 010
Frooxius @frooxius.bsky.social · 02/10/2026Yeah, I feel that's definitely part of it. People feel like they can sway the smaller company to do what they want, but not a big one. So big ones get a pass implicitly, while small ones will struggle to keep up and grow with all the demands. 110
Frooxius @frooxius.bsky.social · 01/10/2026I feel like I need help with a lot of things and I kinda struggle, but I don't know where to turn to with a lot of them. So many things just seems to cause more problems and work down the line, instead of helping or people just... straight up don't know how to help. 1190

Frooxius @frooxius.bsky.social · 01/10/2026Huh weird. It was DOOM Dark Ages: Revelations promo (there's a discount for it now) 120
Frooxius @frooxius.bsky.social · 01/10/2026Sometimes I feel there's a weird irony where the smaller of a business you are, the more people expect from you, than from companies who have vastly more resources. It makes that stage of the company very tough, especially if you want to remain independent. 3411
Frooxius @frooxius.bsky.social · 01/10/2026I'll make it work with Resonite properly once I'm back home! 280
Frooxius @frooxius.bsky.social · 01/10/2026I'll make it work natively once I'm back home. I have a unit waiting for me. I would've really loved to have support for the launch, but they didn't give us a unit :/ 150
Frooxius @frooxius.bsky.social · 01/10/2026Yes! Remedy is not aftaid to be weird with their games and I love them for that. It creates such unique experiences. 010
Frooxius @frooxius.bsky.social · 29/09/2026Calling it now. We're heading towards Noita-like being a new genre. 3190
