I would pay cash money for a cosmetic pack that includes hairstyles.

Okay but Coen is a smash so there's that at least.

If you haven't played these two games, I would run don't walk to pick this bundle up. Both masterpieces.

It's time for spooky games! Here's my lineup for October (plus Alan Wake cus I didn't get to it in September.)

Just got back from Resident Evil and we loved it! Everyone was right that it was surprisingly laugh-out-loud funny, but also effective as a horror movie. I'll definitely rewatch it once it comes out for home viewing.

Really enjoyed wrapping up The Blood of Dawnwalker today! I was concerned the game wouldn't be able to satisfyingly stick the landing, but I was pleasantly surprised. I'll definitely be thinking about this game for a while. Much recommended!

That's awesome & totally agreed. It's one of the few modern AAA games that really hit the mark. I enjoyed Ragnarok quite a bit too, but GOW 2018 was really fantastic.

I feel like that happens when you play as many games as we do. Everything becomes a little less special when we play so many new things. I basically only get super hyped for new FromSoft games and the occasional Nintendo title these days.

I'm not here to pile on cus I know buggy videos of Marvel's Wolverine have been going around, but I couldn't not share this incredible yoga or whatever Jean is doing. 😂 www.twitch.tv/frogbeleren/...

Man I normally avoid horror movies in theaters but I kinda really want to see this.

Chrono Trigger (1995): First game that truly wowed me in terms of story, characters, music, and mechanics. A total package. Made me realize games could be art. The Sims (2000): First game I ever got addicted to. I probably have put more time into The Sims franchise than any other to this day.

011

FrogBeleren @frogbeleren.bsky.social · 20/09/2026

Myst (1993): First game that immersed me in a world, gave a sense of escapism. Also connection, solving puzzles with friends & family. Theme Park (1994): First game that was mine, not the whole family's. First game I got to express creativity and make something the way I wanted it.

I don't think I can pick just one game for this. So here's 4 of them. All of these were formative for me in their own way.

I was flabbergasted when I played Wo Long for the first time and was like... "Wait so it's literally Nioh but in Dynasty Warriors", at least from the storytelling perspective. Sure, I enjoy these games purely for their gameplay, but I cannot get into the stories at ALL.

I'm really loving the 30 day thing. It's really making me think about where I want to spend my time and it keep the pacing moving along. It also makes the prospect of multiple playthroughs really interesting. I really hope they keep something similar in any future sequels.

I enjoy our neighborhood Opossum, but I'd like to formally request it please stop pooping in our yard since (one of) my dogs can't be trusted. (He knows who he is 🧐)

Also, I'm enjoying thinking of this as implying that my friend is out of touch with reality, not that we're out of touch with each other.

One thing I like about Coen from The Blood of Dawnwalker is that yes, he's hot, but he's not unapproachably so. He looks & feels like a real person, and a lot of his appeal comes from his character writing. And for some of us, personality is the hottest thing of all, so well done there.

Pragmata was really good! Hope you enjoy it.

People are wild on this. I confronted someone who posted a few of my pics alongside their own and they just said "oh well I thought that we look pretty similar" AS IF that was my point or any sort of justification?!

110

FrogBeleren @frogbeleren.bsky.social · 08/09/2026

THIS. I was really hoping for a Twilight Princess remaster (like Skyward Sword) or at least putting it online.

010

FrogBeleren @frogbeleren.bsky.social · 08/09/2026

I'm also really hoping (and honestly kinda expecting) a few added secrets. Not like full areas or anything, just hidden surprises, side quests, easter eggs, etc. That'll be the thing that really gets me. If it captures and updates the gameplay of the original but throws in a few bonuses.

010

FrogBeleren @frogbeleren.bsky.social · 08/09/2026

I specifically avoided everything about the OOT remake except the release date, so shortest Direct of all time! Might pick up the Zelda Pro Controller. Also might go to the concert if it comes my way. Sad no Twilight Princess release on Switch online or remaster like Skyward Sword.

There is no wrong way to play this game. Sometimes the trick to getting past something you're stuck on is to just go do other stuff for a bit. You may find other resources that help you out, or just as likely, come back fresh and better able to tackle it.

010

FrogBeleren @frogbeleren.bsky.social · 07/09/2026

Exactly, because if it's truly "HUGE" they would've announced it in the SOP. Instead, this is likely a response to the reaction surrounding the SOP.

Okay but I would really love this.

FrogBeleren @frogbeleren.bsky.social · 04/09/2026

In some games, the other options are JUST background info and feel like a lore dump before you progress. In this one, I've been happy to see they actually change the conversation. Sometimes picking one removes another option, or adds something else. It's well-crafted and dynamic.

110

FrogBeleren @frogbeleren.bsky.social · 04/09/2026

One thing I've noticed with the dialogue is while they will subtly indicate which choice moves the interaction forward, it doesn't mean the other options won't matter. Sometimes another choice will bring up an entirely different way to progress the conversation, and I just think that's neat.

The most interesting part was the like 3 minutes they gave to some smaller games. Excited to see Keeper make it to PS5 so I can finally play it. Hunter's Moon looked intriguing. But the most interesting was Uncanyon, which gave me a bit of TUNIC vibes, in the best way. Looking forward to those.

FrogBeleren @frogbeleren.bsky.social · 03/09/2026

TBH there wasn't much in that State of Play that really wowed me. We got release dates for FFVII Revelation & Until Dawn 2, which was nice I guess. Rhapsody in Scarlet looks interesting but I'm not 100% convinced just off the one trailer. Ghost of Yotei DLC updates are cool.

Finally got my Platinum in Nightreign. I've had one last trophy sitting there staring at me for months now, and after the Duskbloods network test, I got the urge to just go finish it. Still an amazing game, and I'd really love to see one last update for it.

Really great video on Pitbulls & the misinformation out there. As a proud dad of two ambiguous "mixed breed" dogs, this is something I'm hyper attuned to and it's great to see it broken down so clearly. If you ever hear Pitbull stats thrown out there, you might want to know where they come from.
