Y’all, I did the craziest thing… 😖 I sent in my audition for my town’s talent show! 😱

I want to be a cat owner so bad 😭 But I’m allergic to them 🥺

I’m currently working on the pilot for the animated series I’ve had rattling around in my head for a while now. I already have the story planned out, but finally typing it out is something else! I’m learning so much, and I’m so excited to actually start fleshing out both parts! :-)

Brittany Aravis @frittbox.bsky.social · 13/10/2025

I’m kicking off a special 🎃 Halloween 🎃 set with the help of the Boots n Cats gang! 😺 Starting with Boots, who was going to be someone else but decided to go with something more recognizable in the end. #cats #art #traditionalart #colorpencil #halloween #halloween2025 #orangecat #supporthumanart

Being a black cat with orange eyes, Bella was made for October, and Percy and Tucker will take any excuse to get crafty and parade around in flashy costumes. Meanwhile, Wisp prefers the soft and cozy Fall asthetic, Boots is ready for the harvest season, and Socks… Well, she’s there.

Brittany Aravis @frittbox.bsky.social · 10/10/2025

The cats are back, and they’re all getting into the October spirit! 👻 In their own ways, of course 🎃 #cats #blackcat #halloween #halloween2025 #comic kinda #bootsncats

I’m howling! 🤣 “I’m literally Krampus-ing!” 😅 Maybe next time don’t curse the princess, Barn. Or maybe flowers and chocolates would’ve been the way to go 🤭

Brittany Aravis @frittbox.bsky.social · 02/09/2025

After literal months, I finally finished 🥲 I loved the Sweet Briar storybook so much. It truly enchanted my little heart 💘 I had a love-hate relationship with this then I added the eyes and it all came together?? #WelcomeHome #WallyDarling #JulieJoyful #FrankFrankly #HowdyPillar #BarnabyBBeagle

I wanted it to look like the original Sleeping Beauty theatrical posters, but as usual, I think I got a little too detailed. Also, I am super serious about the eyes. It did not look good until I added them. Crazy, huh?

I just wanted to show off these “silhouettes.” If you follow me on TikTok, you might just think these are what I used to hide the real drawing, but these are actually my sketches (except for ENA and Albin, who I sketched traditionally). #sketching #sketch #sketches #wip #workinprogress

I think an often neglected artist mindset is that an art block isn't that big of a deal and you don't always need to rush to fix it. Sometimes you need rest or inspiration and sometimes you don't know and that's fine. My point is sometimes things in your life pause for a bit and you'll survive

The only time someone will actually notice it is if they’re like studying your art or over analyzing it, it’s usually an artist trying to learn or has the time to absorb a single piece (most people don’t lol)

I AGONIZED over this piece ;0; I decided to boldly step out a try a style I had never done before! It was scary! But man, did I love how it turned out ;v; It was a lot of fun to shade once I kind of knew what I was doing! There’s a few things I would’ve done differently, but for what it is, I’m happy with it!

I REALLY genuinely wish I could get into reading. Going to bookstores looks fun and relaxing, having books at home is nice as decor, it’s GOOD for you to read, it’s just something I WISH I did. But every time I open a book, my brain actually shuts down & gets so under stimulated that I get angry..

A sketch page I did while listening to my new Eddie Dear playlist. Lots of hand sketches. For once, Bluesky gets to see new art before Tumblr! 😼 The brush I used is called Artemus Chalk. #art #welcomehome #welcomehomefanart

A sketch page of Welcome Home characters along with many hand gesture sketches crammed into a single canvas. Characters like Frank Frankly and Julie Joyful appear in the small spaces. Wally Darling says, "Hi, neighbor."

Cropped sketches of Frank Frankly and Eddie Dear. On the left, Frank is striking an elegant pose. On the right, Eddie Dear leans on Frank as he sings to him. Frank huffs, annoyed. The text on the bottom right is the artist's name, "Salami-dono."

I don't know if anybody's going to care, but here they are anyways! The two I couldn't include in the group pic: Julius the Cat and Bimbo the Dog! #mickeymouse #oswaldtheluckyrabbit #waltdisney #juliusthecat #maxfleischer #rubberhose #animation #digitalart

Real talk: I had no idea who Julius was until I learned about Felix the Cat ;w; Also, does he really even count as his own character is he really WAS just a ripoff? Poor gatito ;0; Who knows...?

Bimbo 100% was going to be in the picture, but when I was sketching it out, I forgot to make room for him... And then as I was refining the sketch... I forgot again ;^; So, he gets his own special bonus post!

Brittany Aravis @frittbox.bsky.social · 17/04/2025

Ahahaha! Now it's Julie's turn to be scary! >:3
