I had a realisation. If a show cannot shine in a bottle episode, they're doing it wrong. If you are being forced by the constraints placed on you by the need for economy to be clever and interesting w/o flashy guest stars, big budget, location days, you gotta nail it. If you can't, start again.

cos of the way it's trained it has inherent bias because it is always going to pick the most likely choice based not on reality but on the sample size and the data set is already corrupted and I've tried explaining this to pro AI people and I just it's like there's this impenetrable WALL

normally I don't have to worry about the tools I use cos nobody was out there scanning the entire internet and feeding it to a machine and then having people in other countries training it to recognise what it has been fed illegally immorally indefensibly while simultaneously destroying the planet

and I know that even if I only ever feed the AI royalty-free stock images or pics I shot the tool itself was trained on my work and millions of other artists work without our knowledge or consent and so the output will ALWAYS be a crime and it's not a fucking victimless crime.

I mean in reality it would be genuinely dangerous if it took the algorithm used to create the filter and just ran it backward. like that is the one thing AI is good at is writing algorithms. but I don't trust it because they hallucinate ON PURPOSE

ok it was July. I had never touched Firefly in Photoshop and I was curious and 2 hours later I had a pic of Bats & Wondy making out that was indistinguishable from any photo I've ever seen. it gets worse. here's what someone else on social media posted when they used different AI I programs to de-pixilate the same image to show how incredibly INCREDIBLY damaging this could be in terms of relying on AI for any kind of identification of witnesses, suspects, victims, etc.
