The unions and studios that make American film and TV are backing our bipartisan national film tax credit: IATSE, SAG-AFTRA, the Teamsters, DGA, WGA, and so many more. It's a 20%-30% tax credit on American labor for productions that shoot here, built to bring back the jobs we've lost overseas.

The bipartisan bill I'm co-leading creates a 20%-30% credit on American labor so the math makes shooting here work again. (2/2)

Before Congress, I produced film and TV. I know how productions pick where to shoot: they follow the incentives. Right now, 65 countries offer them. The U.S. has no national film tax credit. (1/2)

Our bipartisan national film tax credit gives productions a 20%-30% credit on American labor, with bonuses for shooting in disaster areas. It keeps that money in American communities. (2/2)

Last week, alongside many of our colleagues, we introduced our fix: a national film tax credit that gives productions a 20% credit on American labor when they shoot here. Thank you, Brian, and everyone involved, for working for the betterment of American workers. (2/2)

Who says bipartisanship is dead? For more than a year, I've worked with Rep. Brian Jack, a Georgia Republican whose district is home to Trilith Studios, to stop film and TV crews in Georgia and California from losing work to productions overseas. (1/2)

65 countries offer incentives to lure film and TV productions away from the U.S. America has no national film tax credit. I'm co-leading a bipartisan bill to create one, because every country outbidding us for American work needs to know: we're done losing.

@schiff.senate.gov and I have been working for years to stop film and TV production from leaving the United States. Last week, we introduced a national film tax credit in both chambers: Sen. Schiff and Sen. Tim Scott in the Senate, & a bipartisan group of us in the House. lamag.com/film/new-leg...

Post-production and VFX work done here are also included. And the credit is transferable, so independent producers who don't owe much in taxes can still use it. The payoff: an estimated 143,500 jobs a year and $133 billion in wages for American workers over the next decade.

🎥 📺 Dozens of countries offer tax credits that steal our film and TV jobs. And until now, Washington hasn't fought back. The bipartisan bill I'm co-leading, the Motion Picture, Television, and Entertainment Revitalization Act, changes that. Here's how it works:

Republicans control the House, the Senate, and the Presidency, and they’re using all that power to do... nothing. Meanwhile, House Democrats are ready to pass bills that will build more housing and lower prices. When will our Republican colleagues do their jobs and get to work?
