When I first heard about AI being used for menus and advertisements, my concern was largely that it would be used to idealize the food and make it look better than it actually was. At no point did I imagine that restaurants would willingly put out horrific looking images of their food on purpose

ngl this stuff is depressing. a lot of our irl friends are against AI but turn around and use chatgpt for frivolous reasons. makes me feel like i'm a crazed survivalist hosting everything on our home server, avoiding steaming services and using linux when I just want something without AI.

if anyone has an alternative I'd love to see it, as much as I love setting up stuff I want to avoid spending too much time on it.

I genuinely cannot find something documentation/project management related where you can share with other people (aka my partner) without AI. Right now the plan is to use obsidian with a plugin that allows livesync and to host the files on our home server.

genuinely going insane with how poisoned some areas are with ai. i wanted to start gathering inspo/data for a wedding and anything productivity/moodboard related is unusable. Notion has fallen. Miro is a sad copy of itself. Canva is dead. Any alternative tells you how well you can integrate AI

a drawing of the mandragora from Final Fantasy XIV
They are drawn as just the heads; from left to right it is
Tomato - Mandragora - Eggplant
Onion - Mandragora Queen - Garlic

They are in front of mosaic tiles and each in their own square with a unique design, creating the mosaic of different colors & shapes.

an illustration of sphene whose half-body takes up almost the entire background ; she is smiling but most of her face is hidden. In the center of the picture is a white heart, inside which a small wuk lamat is curled up, crying.

For my english-speaking followers: today a 15yo boy has lost a hand+forearm to a police sting-ball grenade. The media, as usual, is using passive voice. Where did the grenade come from? Who knows, maybe god sent it.

Feeling silly getting upset about it but I bought Minecraft in 2015 and am now shit out of luck accessing it because when I tried migrating in 2023 I ran into issue, created a ticket and they just..... never answered...... and now they're closing every inquiry with a smug answer :(

Hello,

As of December 18, 2023, Minecraft support will no longer assist with migration-related queries as the migration period has concluded.

We consistently reminded players via monthly emails to migrate their accounts, beginning in June 2021. In 2022, notifications were sent, informing players of gameplay restrictions for non-migrated accounts. The migration end date was extended multiple times during the two-year period, finally concluding in September 2023. Players who did not migrate their Legacy/Mojang accounts are no longer able to log into their accounts on minecraft.net or on the launcher.

Following the conclusion of migration in 2023, we offered a 90-day grace period, providing players with a new game license. This grace period concluded in December 2023.

Please note that accounts can no longer be migrated, nor can refunds be processed. Our migration process has been conducted in adherence to all relevant laws and regulations.

Quick drawing of something I really enjoy.

Me coming home and greeting Brioche (a cat sleeping on a rolly cart) by saying "Brioche I'm home!"
He sits up and you can see the left side of his soft round head is concave from where it's been squished against a pillow for several hours.

I think its also that we have more time to think about it - before that finishing an expac you felt maybe meh about meant moving to the next right away and rn we have to sit with it for longer (at least for people for whom DT is the first on content expac)

#xivwomenweek - an idea I had all the way back when playing the heavensward patches, which I finally cleaned up.

Ysayle and the Word of the Mother are floating in front of the giant crystal, shown in silhouette (Ysayle in blue, Minfilia in pink) and then again as close crops of their faces with details drawn in. Ysayle looks excited, Minfilia looks pained.
Word of the Mother: Oh, child of Hydaelyn… How I have let you down. I wish I could have met you.
Ysayle: Mothercrystal… You are meeting me now!
A hazy sepia toned panel of Minfilia in the solar, cut off above her eyes, is inset.
Minfilia: I meant… as myself.
