This week brought us two more #Orktober Boys. Slow and steady, but the #Waaagh is growing 😁 #WarhammerCommunity #PaintingWarhammer #Orks

Two painted Ork Boyz with green skin, grey trousers, blue armor details, and metal weapons. One wears a blue shoulder pad, the other a blue helmet and winter-camouflage vest. Both stand on snowy bases with dry grass, with a skull at the feet of the right Ork.

Three-quarter front view of two painted Ork Boyz in winter-themed gear. The left Ork carries a pistol and a blue-tipped club, while the right wears a blue helmet and camouflage vest, raising a large metal axe. Both stand on snow-covered bases with tufts of dry grass.

Rear view of two painted Ork Boyz on snowy bases. The left Ork has an exposed muscular green back, a blue shoulder pad, grey trousers, and brown leather gear. The right wears a white and blue-grey camouflage vest, with a raised axe and snow stuck to the sole of his boot.

First Boy for #Orktober, also the first Ork I’ve ever painted. Went for a kind of Hoth Rebel winter-uniform vibe, with a few Blood Axes and Deathskulls influences thrown in. Think it came together pretty nicely 😁 #WarhammerCommunity #PaintingWarhammer #Waaagh #Orks

Front view of a painted Ork Boy with bright green skin, red eyes, a large metal axe and pistol, wearing grey trousers and a pale winter-camouflage vest with blue-grey patches. He stands on a snowy base with rocks and a tuft of dry grass.

Rear view of the same Ork, showing the pale blue-grey camouflage pattern across the back of the vest, grey trousers, brown straps and boots, and a large metal club strapped across his lower back. The base is covered in snow with a small grass tuft.

Rear three-quarter view of the Ork holding a large metal axe with blue details, showing his green arms, winter-camouflage vest, grey trousers, brown leather gear, and snowy base.

Front three-quarter view of the painted Ork Boy in pale winter camouflage, holding a large axe in one hand and a metal pistol in the other. Bright green skin, red eyes, blue weapon details, and a snow-covered base give the model a cold-weather look.

Impulse: IT’S BASICALLY THE HONORED OF THE CHAPTER BOX! Which would cost us at least €120. So we save €90, still get €120 worth of Space Marines — that’s €210 for €30. GET IT WHILE IT’S— Reason: Yeah, sure. Ordered it 10 mins ago Thanks to @karlplays.bsky.social for making me aware of the offer 😂

I’m usually not into this kind of thing, but #My9Games got me. I tried to pick games that opened doors for me: genres, platforms, series, whole worlds. Not necessarily “the best games ever”, but games I loved at the time and that still feel like little milestones in my personal gaming history.

A “My 9 Games” collage showing nine game covers in a 3x3 grid: Super Mario Land, The Legend of Kyrandia, Doom, Hitman 2: Silent Assassin, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, Eve Online, Minecraft: Java Edition, and Bloodborne.

Question, #WarhammerCommunity: when I started Strike Force Octavius, I chose an urban base scheme: metal, rust, hazard stripes, occasional concrete chunks. Now it feels slightly limiting. Do I stick with it and try to push the theme further, or switch base schemes future Space Marines?

Was ready to prime the Dread when the elbow joint came loose, fell under the desk and apparently left this plane of existence. Spent the last 90 mins tearing the entire room apart, furniture included, with no luck. Slowly getting desperate, without the damn thing, the arm won’t stay in place.

I really thought I was done painting Tyranids for a while after the Raveners… but for #ArmyOnDisplay it’s gonna be Nids again. I’ve still got the Typhon Box Hormagaunts, and honestly I should probably bring an army whose scheme I actually know. So… here we go again 😁 #WarhammerCommunity

A grey plastic Tyranid Hormagaunt sprue from the Typhon box lie on a blue cutting mat, with the assembly instructions visible underneath on a hobby desk.

Turns out Felltalon isn’t the only Ravener without a premium base. But don’t worry, little friend… no one gets left behind on my watch. Uncle Battle Ready will craft you a proper dirt mound too. And here he is: Ravener Venomspitter. Kill Team complete! 😁 #WarhammerCommunity #PaintingWarhammer

Side view of a coiled Tyranid Ravener Prime on a rocky base. Bone chitin, red carapace with black-to-red gradient, bright turquoise brain-sacs on the back, black talons raised to strike.

Front view of a Tyranid Ravener Prime rearing up from a stone base. Bone body and ribs, red chest plates, black claws, purple and turquoise growths on the back, framed by coiled tail segments.

Right-side view of the Tyranid Ravener Prime. The long tail curls around the base, black scything talons point forward, red carapace and turquoise brain-like sacs dominate the hunched upper body.

Group shot of a five-model Tyranid Ravener Kill Team on matching rocky bases. One larger Ravener Prime stands in front, surrounded by four smaller red-and-bone Ravener warriors with black claws.

Ravener #4: Felltalon. Now with a handmade dirt mound base. Turned out pretty decent considering he yeeted himself off the paint handle right before I finished and disintegrated into parts 😂 Managed to fix all the damage… I think. #WarhammerCommunity #PaintingWarhammer #Tyranids #KillTeam #Raveners

Painted Tyranid Ravener on a rocky dirt-mound base; bone-coloured body, red carapace, black claws, turquoise bio-sacs and purple tendrils/tubes on the raised arms, against a dark background.

Rear view of the Ravener showing large red segmented back plates, a coiled tail over the base, black scything blades and turquoise details on the weapon arms; grey rocks and soil on the base.

Angled front view of the Ravener on the dirt mound; multiple black claws, bone-coloured limbs, red armour plates and striking turquoise/purple bio elements, with grey stones and soil on the base.

Parked the Ravener to squeeze in the Mini of the Month and test my Battleclade camo idea. The servitor came out pretty decent (minus a missed mould line), but I don’t think it’ll work for the Battleclade… Servitors have too many bits that are neither armour nor uniform. #WarhammerCommunity

A painted 40k servitor model on a round base, wearing blue-grey camouflage trousers and a bulky cybernetic chest rig with glowing green lenses; one arm is a heavy gun and the other is a mechanical claw.

Side view of the servitor miniature showing the blue camo pants, exposed flesh arms, metal collar and cables, with the oversized gun held forward and the claw arm lowered.

Rear view of the servitor with a detailed backpack full of pipes and canisters, a copper cog-and-skull emblem, small green lights, and blue camouflage trousers over mechanical boots.

Opposite side view of the servitor, highlighting the weapon housing and mechanical details on the arm, the camo pattern, and the industrial round base.

Can’t have Felltalon-bro be the only Ravener without a premium dirt mound base. Time to rock‘n Milliput! 😁 #WarhammerCommunity #PaintingWarhammer #Basing #KillTeam #Tyranids #Typhon #Raveners

Unpainted Tyranid Ravener model on a small round base with a rough dirt mound and rocks; the miniature is held between fingers in front of a blue gridded cutting mat.

Ravener #3: The Tremorscythe. Antlers included. Very festive. Basically Rudolph, the red-carapaced Ravener. #WarhammerCommunity #PaintingWarhammer #Warhammer40K #KillTeam #Typhoon #Raveners #Tyranids
