Each of us ought to decide what others can do to our bodies. This is so obvious it does not cry out for explanation; and philosophers have not given it much. What few philosophical explanations there ...

From Christian Barry: “It’s fantastic to see the new journal Free & Equal launch today. The terrific editorial team and editorial board are the same as previously produced Philosophy & Public Affairs, long a leading journal in our field (and one that under the current team broadened and diversified its content in important ways). However, this new journal is open access rather than hidden behind paywalls, and its team will not be subject to the sorts of pressures that editors of corporate-owned scholarly journals have often been. I regard it as the true successor to PPA and will encourage colleagues to send their best work there, and if enough others do the same, Free & Equal will have the same or higher standing than that journal did.”
