The thing is though, I doubt we’ll be reviewing them for much longer. I hate to admit it, but writing code, reviewing code, approving, alert and incident response with auto bug fixes will all be automated… we’re effectively there already.

I remember getting on a call with a couple dozen eng to figure out how to pick up the pieces. Trending Topics was stale for days because everyone on the team was laid off and the eng that took over on-call didn’t have access to it. Those that could give her access were laid off too. Zero. Plans.

Employee reviews, health benefits, retirement, pay stubs, you name it, it handles it all…. and very poorly. A well connected startup with some UX chops will rise one day and make them irrelevant. I suspect that day is closer than we think. And I can’t wait. Thanks for coming to my TED talk.
