I have made & will make parenting mistakes. But I must be doing something right because my 13 yo always finds me in the house, plops down, and proceeds to browse on her phone at top volume. My nervous system gets absolutely destroyed but I’m trying to give her what little me needed.

I went on my first camping trip as a Brownie when I was 7. Outdoor school was my favorite part of 5th grade. I hiked hundreds of miles in Northern CA as a Girl Scout. Then I moved out and ended up with a partner who hates camping. I’m done waiting. I’m camping again and it makes me so happy.

Still stressing about my new job 😞 Last week I found a mistake made by the person leaving, confirmed how to fix it, then she told me I did it wrong and that I did NOT ask about how to fix it. I also said I use a paper planner to track important deadlines. Unacceptable. What if I don’t look at it?

Even though I tell myself that this is temporary, that I’m not in trouble because that’s not a thing, and that paid downtime is very acceptable, my body insists on having a panic attack every night before work and each morning of.

Making progress! For the first side, I did purple down and coral up. For the second side I am doing a more line by line all up approach. As a x-stitcher, I want the back to be super neat but I’m learning that’s not really how this works. Anyway, I think going up is the best way to soothe my brain.

At my new job, I’m training while doing the work and taking notes all while at someone else’s computer with their own settings and preferences while they breathe down my neck. It is driving them BANANAS how I am navigating this which is terribly.

I’ve had the materials do this Bargello project for maybe 3 years. It’s easier on my eyes than cross stitch at the moment so I like that. But I’m disappointed to discover how hard on my wrist it is, having to yank the needle and yarn through the plastic canvas.

There're so many talented people with wonderful creative brains & ideas that we will never hear from because they are too busy surviving. There are also so many people who tried and burned out, or were forced to give up their passion to concentrate on making enough money to live.

WIP Satsuma Street Pot Shop It’s my first time using Eco Vita thread. I’m learning to adjust my tension so it fills in a little better. I really like the more folksy looking result.
