I heard that in the car and was losing it. I actually noted where it was in the game so I could find it and play it for my wife, because I am a good husband

I don’t get the play calls of running your 4th string RB up the gut behind your 3rd string OL every first down

Cleveland pitchers struck out 21 batters tonight That’s the most in a 9-inning postseason or regular season game (since at least 1900 on reg)

They somehow managed to play an entire football game in the time it took to get through 8 innings of baseball

I feel like I want to file away Braves fans booing Acuna so I can point out that Phillies fans are not uniquely jerks

Jurgens has been BAD bad this year, I don't put a ton of stock in PFF rating stuff but they have him in like the 200s which is.. something. Even just watching the games as a non-expert he looks like he's slow and missing assignments.

I think it's been better in recent years but these are both from week 1 2022, where the Rams call it an "Open Stadium" and the Chargers call it a "Closed Stadium" .. think I did some workaround for that to just hardcode it as a closed dome.
Bills vs. Rams gamebook from week 1 2022 describing SoFi Stadium as "Open Stadium"Raiders vs. Chargers gamebook from week 1 2022 describing SoFi Stadium as "Closed Stadium"

I had totally forgotten about this show, but we were really into this for about the first half of the first season and then it just went totally off the rails.

What I still can't figure out is that he was legitimately a great player last year - did he just forget how to play baseball in the offseason? Sure he's a year older but that doesn't just evaporate your talent immediately.

I realize this happens because Hollywood never met a prequel/sequel it didn't love, but I hate the trend of taking a throwaway line from a movie and building an entire story about it. No I don't care how Han did the Kessel Run, it was just a line indicating that he was cool and that's all

So annoying that Philly fans get tarred with this still even though it happened like 12 years before I was born (and I'm not young!) Like, THIS CENTURY two White Sox fans ran on the field and beat up the Royals first base coach & you don't hear about that every time their fans are brought up

Oh yeah for sure, was just looking at current stadiums they've never won at cause I was curious. They're also 0-1 in Vegas too but I feel like that barely counts.

Looks like the Eagles are 0-3 at Heinz Field (or whatever it's called now) vs. the Steelers, too.

I accidentally just kept going and wrote a stream of thoughts and words and numbers about Bryan Rincon's year, the minor league home run environment, comps, and thinking about how things might translate going forward.

What to Make of Bryan Rincon
Coming into the 2026 season, I had buried Bryan Rincon at #44 on my offseason ranking. I had been a fan of his back after the 2023 season, but two years of injuries had led to him rarely being on the field and being pretty bad when he was playing leaving me skeptical he would ever hit enough to have a major league role.
