Building on FRA’s longstanding work on civic space, today the Agency launched its new @eeanorwaygrants.bsky.social-funded five-year initiative to protect & strengthen civic space across Europe. The launch was an opportunity to introduce the initiative to stakeholders & the support it can offer.

Civil society organisations protect fundamental rights, give a voice to all, including those who are rarely heard, and connect public institutions with the realities people face. When civic actors cannot work freely and sustainably, our democracies become less informed, less inclusive and less resilient, said FRA Director Sirpa Rautio.
