I’ve seen a surprising amount of chat where people are selling Haaland in 12 and I don’t get it. Ok he plays Arsenal in both 12 and 23. But I would have no problem captaining him every week in between. Is it for Bruno? Is he that much better? I can’t see it and feels like I’m missing something.

I know a lot of you have had a rough week. Last year I finished 20k overall which is pretty respectable. After Gameweek 5 I was 1.6m OR. After Gameweek 8 I was 80k. Ranks are irrelevant right now, and things can change quicker than you’d imagine. Enjoy the break ❤️

All out for 91 on WC4. Safety score of 90 so scraped staying 3/3 on green arrows to creep up to 20k OR. Felt very fortunate, especially after a bad start to Isak vs Saka, bailed out by the Brighton boys. Will roll again to 4FT all being well. Only FH left now. Onto GW5 then 3 weeks off 😶

Barring disasters, team looks very playable and hopefully roll to 5 FTs in gameweek 7. Also worth bearing in mind I’ve used 3 chips in 4 weeks so should expect some regression as people play catch-up.

Still undecided. Gone for Hall and de Cuyper after playing it through. I’ll move the latter on in GW7 or so. Down to this now: A: KDH & Groß B: Szoboszlai & Gomez Isak likely a cash cow at some point for a reshuffle.

Wildcard draft #219. I think this might the first one I’m properly happy with. I’m missing Szoboszlai but I’ve gained Isak. My main shuffles have been centred around Barry/Saka vs Odegaard/Isak. Would prefer to keep Vuskovic but I’ll upgrade MdC to him in 7 (with 5FT? 🤞🏼) when KDH becomes Tav.

This is how I’m shaping up for 37 then. Very likely to stick with the plan of Thiago in for DCL then rolling the second FT. Will probably captain Saka but I do fancy Gyokeres too. If I’m going to end up in the top 10k it feels like I need to break into it this week - 7 points away currently…

A good red arrow? Ended with 82 and a 2 point red arrow which I’m pretty delighted with. Stayed at 13k with no Palace at all and no chip. Anything at all from Saka/Gyokeres would’ve turned it green - let’s hope they make up for it in 37 🙏🏼

Gameweek 36 Transfers done: Palmer ➡️ Saka Senesi ➡️ Gabriel Joao Pedro ➡️ Gyokeres Going heavy on Arsenal and the title going down to the wire. Would love a 3-3 away to West Ham today 😂 Team looks decent but a green arrow feels like a huge ask with chips in play and no Palace. Semenyo 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

I think swerving Palace (my initial instinct) is going to be the move. I’ve found something I prefer… 3 FT to bring the 3x Arsenal in but sell Senesi rather than Struijk. Then spend 1 of 2 FT to get Thiago for DCL in 37. Leaves 2 FTs in 38 for either Bowen or react to title/relegation etc 🤔

GW32 Wildcard. Officially active. Does feel like the Buzz Lightyear meme but at least I’ve kept a couple of decent GW32 only options as “differentials” to the pure WC32 BB33 template. Feel very settled on this, only unexpected team news will force any changes now. Have you decided yet?

Gabriel and Thiago then make way using 2 of my 4 FTs for another couple of DGW players, meaning I can assess the Leeds situation. 14 DGWers plus Bruno - same as everyone else at this point but I (hopefully) enter GW35 with 3FT. That *should* get me close to keeping up with the WC33/35 crews.

Delighted to announce that I’ve made my decision. Deary me, what an ordeal. I’ve ended up with a tweaked version of the boring one: WC32 BB33 FH34 Here’s the plan then, starting with 32. Template WC squad except Gabriel and Thiago stay to soften the blow of wildcarding out of a decent team.

It’s not even that bad in 34, need a keeper and Brentford attack not ideal but it’s fine and I even have a sub. Think my 32 team is much stronger than this will be which makes me dislike FH33 a bit more. I think it’s why I like WC33 FH34 BB35 quite a lot.

Non-FPL post. I’ve been in a bad way this week following the discovery of a lesion (the white cloud) which has been eating away at the root of my tooth. You can imagine the pain it’s caused. Has anyone had experience of anything similar? My diagnosis isn’t consistent with symptoms so keen to hear.
