I’ve seen a surprising amount of chat where people are selling Haaland in 12 and I don’t get it. Ok he plays Arsenal in both 12 and 23. But I would have no problem captaining him every week in between. Is it for Bruno? Is he that much better? I can’t see it and feels like I’m missing something.

I know a lot of you have had a rough week. Last year I finished 20k overall which is pretty respectable. After Gameweek 5 I was 1.6m OR. After Gameweek 8 I was 80k. Ranks are irrelevant right now, and things can change quicker than you’d imagine. Enjoy the break ❤️

Might not feel like it, but a car crash gameweek this week might not be the worst thing. If you’re having a bad week, you’ve probably got a decent team and there’s likely a lot of content creators with similar sides. Weeks like this can kill off thousands of full copycat clone teams.

The levels to which variance has been on my side so far this season is absolutely unparalleled. Wissa missed pen, Barry only 1 goal and no bonus with 1 wrongly disallowed, MGW and Forest defence blank and then a Groß haul against impenetrable Arsenal. I am not looking forward to the reversion…

This season has been one of the best in years in terms of a variety of strategies and teams (putting aside the clone debate) from a standing start. Joao Pedro, the most owned player in the game at 75%, getting injured just before a 3-week international break is elite cat-amongst-the-pigeons-ery.

All out for 91 on WC4. Safety score of 90 so scraped staying 3/3 on green arrows to creep up to 20k OR. Felt very fortunate, especially after a bad start to Isak vs Saka, bailed out by the Brighton boys. Will roll again to 4FT all being well. Only FH left now. Onto GW5 then 3 weeks off 😶

WC4 (and by extension probably WC3 and WC5 crew) - when are you planning to use your FH? Is it looking like GW9 or GW12 currently? I’ve come into this season without much of a plan (I made my first draft 24h before the first game) but WC4 fell nicely for me. 9 and 12 seem contenders… any others?

Barring disasters, team looks very playable and hopefully roll to 5 FTs in gameweek 7. Also worth bearing in mind I’ve used 3 chips in 4 weeks so should expect some regression as people play catch-up.

Still undecided. Gone for Hall and de Cuyper after playing it through. I’ll move the latter on in GW7 or so. Down to this now: A: KDH & Groß B: Szoboszlai & Gomez Isak likely a cash cow at some point for a reshuffle.

Wildcard draft #219. I think this might the first one I’m properly happy with. I’m missing Szoboszlai but I’ve gained Isak. My main shuffles have been centred around Barry/Saka vs Odegaard/Isak. Would prefer to keep Vuskovic but I’ll upgrade MdC to him in 7 (with 5FT? 🤞🏼) when KDH becomes Tav.

Struggling with the 4th midfield spot on WC4. Fairly settled on Enciso as my 5th. Torn between a few for my 4th: Groß Gakpo KDH MGW (very unlikely due to funds) Tav/Scott Elanga/Barnes 3rd forward changes in conjunction with this decision, most likely Barry or a 4.5 dead spot.

General advice if you’re playing your wildcard is to make transfers and then activate it last minute so your transfers affect price changes. My advice would be don’t EVER do this. It’s not worth the risk of forgetting to activate that chip. There’s someone every season. Don’t let it be you.

Gyokeres on for a cameo to block Tav while no cameo for Marmoush has cost me about 2 grand in mini-leagues. Devastated doesn’t begin to cover it.
