I get a lot of women who recently started their transition telling me it’s overwhelming to try to learn how to beautify/style themselves. And that’s true! Cis girls get to absorb ambient knowledge of this stuff growing up. Here’s a thread of some advice for ramping up, and tips that helped me.

If I can add: in addition to waiting til you find your style to buy pricier pieces, I'd caution to wait til you have an idea of what HRT is going to do for your figure (if applicable.) You might be waiting a year or two (or more, YMMV) before your shape settles.

That OVA has been stuck in my brain for just that reason. And almost three decades ago, someone decided it would be a great fit for the late night slot on a Canadian cartoon channel (or that's what they could afford to license.) What a thing to inflict on kids.

I had a VHS that my parents recorded Ghostbusters on the first time it aired on TV. I watched that tape to death, so naturally, I absorbed the accompanying commercials into my brain. Toyota and Hunt's tomato sauce stick out the most; must have played three times each during the length of the movie.
