I wrote about how Furality made me feel, as it was my first time ever attending! It's a bit of a novel, but it feels really good to finally get my thoughts out of my brain lol

Kat ✿ @foxehsocks.bsky.social · 02/09/2026

I hope every person I spoke to during the convention is doing well. And I hope I get to see them all next year :3 Thanks to all of them, I rediscovered a part of myself that I never want to lose again. Thanks for playing silly beans.

Kat ✿ @foxehsocks.bsky.social · 02/09/2026

I miss it every day. And I know the next time those tickets go live, I'm purchasing mine without a smidge of hesitation. And I am 100% taking all of those days off from work so I can enjoy the convention in its entirety lol.

Kat ✿ @foxehsocks.bsky.social · 02/09/2026

There was no screaming, no crashers, no one whining over people's avatars being furries. (Or asking really disgusting questions. Or treating me weird because of being a girl in an online space lol.) I, to this very day, wish that the entirety of VRChat could be as amazing as Furality was.

Kat ✿ @foxehsocks.bsky.social · 02/09/2026

I love drawing cute lil animals, and I love having a cute lil animal to represent myself. Cringe is in, as they say. But I wouldn't have reached this conclusion had I not attended the con. Had I not met the amazing people that I met. I felt so relaxed in these lobbies.

100

Kat ✿ @foxehsocks.bsky.social · 02/09/2026

So, I don't think I have solely one memorable part of the con. Every little bit of it meant so much to me. So much so that after the convention, I decided to quit dancing around the idea of being a furry and just, well, be!

Kat ✿ @foxehsocks.bsky.social · 02/09/2026

I didn't even realize till after I purchased my ticket that an old friend of mine is an Events Coordinator! That was so freaking cool to find out XD Going, "WAIT I KNOW THEM" at the credits during the ending ceremony was pretty funny lol.

100

Kat ✿ @foxehsocks.bsky.social · 02/09/2026

People I would not have met had I not given myself the goofiest freaking reason to buy a ticket lol. I made so many cool friends, I got a hug from a MAMA PANDA - that was awesome. I made friends to watch the ending ceremony and fireworks with. It was an amazing experience that I wouldn't take back.

110

Kat ✿ @foxehsocks.bsky.social · 02/09/2026

Of course, after the meetup I ran off to make some adjustments - but I still ACHIEVED IT before the second meetup, so I'll take it lol. The rest of the convention I was set. I ran around as a pink lil monkey and I met a bunch of really cool people ;w;

110

Kat ✿ @foxehsocks.bsky.social · 02/09/2026

I went to the first primate meetup, met a bunch of really cool people, and decided that by the time of the second meetup, I was GOING to show up in my very own monkey avatar. I still wasn't even thinking of myself as a furry, I just wanted to surprise all the cool people I had met! And I did it >:3c

130

Kat ✿ @foxehsocks.bsky.social · 02/09/2026

I still didn't recognize myself as a furry. I just knew I loved the LMK monkies, and I was really hopeful I'd make a friend at the meetup who also enjoyed the show. Which, I met a handful! And I met even more who intended to eventually get to watching the show. It was a dream come true!

110

Kat ✿ @foxehsocks.bsky.social · 02/09/2026

For such a silly ass reason I made myself buy that ticket. "What if I meet fellow LMK enjoyers?!" Was the foundation of me forcing myself out of my introverted shell and into the uh... shell of a plastic headset lol.

120

Kat ✿ @foxehsocks.bsky.social · 02/09/2026

And I was going to talk myself out of it *again* this year. But two really funny things happened. One, I got really into Lego Monkie Kid. And two, I saw that there was going to be a primate meetup. The rest was history really LMAO.

130

Kat ✿ @foxehsocks.bsky.social · 02/09/2026

I'd seen the video The Virtual Reality Show had made. It *really* made me want to attend. But I was my own worst enemy. I talked myself out of it again, and again. I was scared to go alone, I was nervous I wouldn't be able to interact with others properly.

110

Kat ✿ @foxehsocks.bsky.social · 02/09/2026

"Why don't you draw humans instead? Furry stuff is cringe and weird." All the classics that I am sure many others went through at some point or another. Especially in that tween age. Me taking on telegram commissions was like inching my foot into the door but not fully dedicating to anything.

110

Kat ✿ @foxehsocks.bsky.social · 02/09/2026

I didn't really consider myself a furry. I mean, I took furry telegram commissions. But I didn't have a sona or anything to represent myself with. When I was younger I did, but my former friend group bullied me out of it lol.

110

Kat ✿ @foxehsocks.bsky.social · 02/09/2026

I've wanted to write for a while how Furality made me feel, so I apologize if this gets lengthy! *** This year was my first year attending this virtual convention. For three years(?) prior I had thought about potentially going, but always found a way to talk myself out of it.

I think Mavis would be like Mercury ;O Which is also lowkey bias, since Mercury is my GOAT- Maybe Mami would also be a good fit. And Phantom Thief Jeanne too, hmmm. A mix of all three, BUT she would be the blue magical girl! XD
