KK Harvey on living in Canada: "Vancouver itself seems very diverse, so immersing in those various cultures and just different experiences, I think it'll be so neat." She mentioned that she's never really been hiking, but Jenn Gardiner will be taking her on one today. #Goldeneyes

If you earned Gold Points, you pick ahead of the expansion teams. If you didn’t, you go after them in the order of the regular season or playoffs. Makes sense to me. (Not sarcasm to be clear)

Draft order out! I would have loved to see Sirens at 3, especially with how many players they lost compared to their season standing. Still, it seems like they gave Seattle the second pick bc they tied Vancouver in Gold Plan points (5), and the Sirens & Sceptres never earned any gold plan points

2026 PWHL Draft Order

1. Vancouver Goldeneyes
2. Seattle Torrent
3. PWHL Detroit
4. PWHL San Jose
5. PWHL Las Vegas
6. PWHL Hamilton
7. New York Sirens
8. Toronto Sceptres
9. Minnesota Frost
10. Boston Fleet
11. Ottawa Charge
12. Montreal Victoire

Detroit not signing a goalie yet means they’ll need to find a free agent in phase 6, or sign one in the draft But hey! Campbell still a Goldeneye atm :)

031

seff @foxbrides.bsky.social · 15/06/2026

Only 4 players need to be expansion drafted still (Detroit & Hamilton 1, Vegas 2), I wonder if they’ll give them a time extension again, or actually go to selection

020

seff @foxbrides.bsky.social · 15/06/2026

I feel like the PWHL draft order won’t be released until after Phase 4, because the league wants to figure it out both based on season standings, and the current makeup of the 12 teams. I don’t think that’s a terrible idea, but the expansion timing should have been reworked to be earlier.

A reframe could be helpful: acknowledging that there are more than 72 PWHL-calibre players in the draft doesn't mean there are 72+ draftees who are better than 72+ current players. It means there are 72+ players who are as good as or better than *some* current PWHL players. That's PWHL calibre!

Despite other teams cutting it close, PWHL San Jose is the first team to finish their roster. Love this for my spreadsheet

seff @foxbrides.bsky.social · 15/06/2026

Second Goldeneye to Detroit, and Detroit is at 9/10 players, still with no goalie. Interesting.

120

seff @foxbrides.bsky.social · 14/06/2026

Chuli (Sceptres) and Campbell (Goldeneyes) seem to be the top remaining goalies remaining for Detroit to draft. Every other expansion team has a goalie on their roster (Hamilton & Osborne, Vegas & Hensley, San Jose & Schroeder).

seff @foxbrides.bsky.social · 12/06/2026

As we head into Phase 4 (June 14th, 12PM ET) of the PWHL expansion draft, here’s what we know Each expansion team must sign 10 players by the end of Phase 4 (June 15th, 6PM ET). Below are how many they have signed so far. Detroit: 7/10 Hamilton: 6/10 Las Vegas: 8/10 San Jose: 8/10
