Halftime at Jones Convocation Center. CSU shots went dry as a desert, and New Haven got a lot of shots that they missed in Q1. 31-28, New Haven. But the CSU Cougars never abandoned their identity of pressing the full court and in pressing the tempo. Plenty of ball left to play.

End of Q1. 15-9, CSU. Cougars are absolutely setting the pace and running pedal to the metal to start. Will be interesting to see if either New Haven can take steps to break the full court press, or if CSU has the motor to keep running New Haven out of the building.

Watching so many of the athletes I admired as a kid allegedly make terrible, terrible decisions as we all collectively aged has been one of the more sobering elements of becoming an adult. Just because you can ball out doesn't make you a paragon of virtue. Need to keep reminding myself of that.
