Lession of the day: if I catch myself being ready to follow catastrophic shortcuts in my own software's development process, how can I expect my clients to be educated accordingly? Being a part-time founder really puts things in perspective.

Reposting to reread this myself mainly. I have a high susceptibility to setting things up right from the start. On the other hand, i have run into many blunders that made me start over. I guess it is about learning how to find a balance.

Board of Canada's latest release, Inferno, has quickly become one of my personal favorites. Instead of drawing the line at simple low-fi analog nostalgia, it uses the audio degradation as a tool for great song writing. Good old IDM mentality.

I am super guilty of this myself, but the Bluesky UX design community has one major difference to the X design community. And that is showcasing design work. This makes X still appear way more vibrant, alive and interesting.

Had an utterly insane incident today where I added a collaborator on a teamspace on Notion. Since it was a free account I could not remove them (a subscription is needed). They tried removing themselves but removed me instead. result: I lost all access to my private workspace for some reason.

I just realized that 20 years ago, i would read and watch horror fiction to spike my adrenalin and the news would make me fall asleep. Nowadays, it’s the news that keeps me up at night and i fall asleep to paranormal podcasts.

When doing methodical work with LLMs according to best practices, you realize how utterly misleading the marketed idea of vibe coding entire apps in a few tries really is.

Recruiter: the role is for a Senior UX Designers that’s more than a AI native UI strategist. They need to turbocharge the integration layer, turning powerful AI into intuitive, human-centered, strategic experiences that actually drive business results. Me: So… a normal UX/UI designer.

Super excited to start my first collaboration with my user research-to-development alignment system (which is still a set of python scripts, llm skills, and schemas operated on my end), with a startup. I will try and document my learnings and progress here. #buildinpublic #UX

If you are anxious about AI taking over your design job, just try to use Claude Design for a few times and see how it obliterates your weekly limits without producing anything particularly useful.

UX design in 2026: I've spent 10x more time in VS Code than Figma in the past month.

Every second post on UX that I come across is about accessibility. Now, it goes without saying that it is a very important aspect of our work as designers. But the frequency of posts makes me think of something more depressing: what if it is also one of the last things we take pride in? Thoughts?

One of the things I will definitely not miss about working with LLMs is forgetting which thread i had discussed something in and going around asking, one by one : "is this where we talked about X"?

As I am getting more acquianted with LLM assisted workflows, it is getting clearer to me how much everything is a matter of expectations.

I wonder if AIs secretly refer to human content as "bioslop".

I am waiting for AI design tools to enter the design race. Having things appear too dated and then trying to catch up.

Regardless of whether the carousel feature follows good UX design practices or not, I am a bit skeptical of the amount and scale of the reactions. Looking through the UX Sky thread, it feels like this is a national emergency or something.

Pretty soon we will start needing “psychologist” skills to handle the alignment between our second brains, AI memories, personas, etc.

Ok, Claude's performance has slowly gone from "what a reliable tool" to "this is profoundly annoying", and finally to "I am genuinely concerned something is very deeply wrong here". All in a very brief time period.

Setting up my project discovery framework to run a pass on my project discovery framework.. In times like this I wonder if I am veering into mad scientist territory. Time will tell I guess.

The profession of the designer has two parts: The active employment, and the portfolio. This should be treated as an emergency fund. If you are not actively maintaining it when you don't need it, you will have an even tougher time when you really do.

Interacting with the latest consumer AI models feels like being the spouse of a drunk who stumbled into the house and is incessantly apologizing for constantly knocking things over.

If there is one established UX convention that I simply don't get it's this: Why does copying and pasting text in most tools carry the source's formatting with it? Which users actually want their documents to end up as a mix of styles?

To be frank, this happened again and again even before AI. "New groundbreaking frameworks and approaches" popped up all the time, while being carbon copies of basic ones in other fields, just with replaced terminologies.

Unpopular opinion : The wild deterioration of Claude Opus over the last few weeks is actually a good wakeup call: We can't rely on an external factor (a third party model's constant availability and quality) as a constant for our workflows. We need to invest in our workflows' stability.

The only constant in design tools' evolution: There will always be one recurring buggy little detail in the process.

Design is in a sort of upside down world at the moment, but once you get it, you get it. (at least for a couple of days, until everything changes again)

The more I work on AI workflows, the clearer it becomes: the teams getting the most out are using it as an automation multiplier. NOT as a generative tool for creative decision making. Used this way, AI can dissolve many of the areas that kept design teams out of sync with development.
