No matter how much time passed between me visiting my parents, Hazel would immediately run to the bed or couch I would be laying on and jump up for pets and to sleep on top of me. While she was only 12 when she passed, we tried to make those 12 years good up until the end. I’ll miss her so much.

Just a few months after saying goodbye to my childhood dog Bella, we had to say goodbye to my family’s cat Hazel today. My parents and I adopted her and Poppy (her sister) as kittens when I was in high school, and she quickly became bonded to me, always looking to sit in my lap or lay on top of me.

Had to make a pond pattern featuring some of my favorite guys!! 🐸🪷

In all of my years hiking at this cove, I have never seen this many cormorants before!! it was truly surreal (and of course the one day I don’t bring my nice camera)

Happy birthday!!! Your art always makes me so happy to see. I love a good loach, especially a kuhli loach. My childhood fish tank had a whole squad of them that would hide in a piece of drift wood and come out to eat algae wafers :)
