Tim's mom died shortly after he took the Robin mantle. Tim's dad died in Identity Crisis. They were brought back to life (temporarily) as Black Lanterns in the Blackest Night. With the New 52 reboot, they were both still alive. Since Rebirth, they reverted to their pre-New 52 deaths.
