Altogether, 55 volunteers joined us in Forest Park and Marquam Nature Park. These volunteers pulled about 6k sq. feet of invasive English ivy and saved 22 trees from ivy! Additionally, thank you to KEEN for sponsoring our NLPD events and Voodoo Donuts for providing donuts for our volunteers!

Last week, employees from KEEN volunteered with us to help support our work on and off the trails! 94 KEEN employees joined us off and on the trails. In total they removed 5,000 square feet of English ivy in Forest Park, freed 7 trees from ivy, and decorated 161 thank-you cards!

A hearing on PGE's reapplication, the previous version of which was appealed 12-0 by City Council, has been scheduled for October 14th. If approved, this would give PGE the go-ahead to remove 4.7 acres of trees from Forest Park, among other ecological harms.

Thank you to our friends at Cotopaxi for joining us on the trails this week! Cotopaxi has supported our work for a while now, and it was great to work with their team out on the trails and get our hands dirty. Together we were able to re-brush 0.55 mi of Wildwood N from 53rd!

Last weekend was National Trails Day! 69 volunteers joined us in Forest Park and Marquam Nature Park to celebrate by hitting the trails and conducting some brushing work with us. Thanks to these amazing volunteers, we brushed 4.08 miles of trails in a single day, which is a massive feat!

if you haven't done trail work before - I strongly recommend it!!! the forest park conservancy is responsible for our trails being beautiful around Portland. All it takes is a single outing on unmaintained trails to viscerally feel how much is lost when trail work falls to the wayside

We had an amazing group of over 100 volunteers spread across Forest Park and Marquam Nature Park, removing invasive plants from 7,500 acres of land and conducting trail maintenance on Wildwood.

Yesterday, we had a team from PAE come out to celebrate Earth Day with us! Together, we braved the Portland drizzle and cleared 1,000 sq feet of ivy off of Wild Cherry Trail. Thank you to PAE for coming out for a third year in a row to volunteer with us during Earth Week!
