@mrjamesob.bsky.social The answer to your radio question rests with someone working in an office above your studio! DAB can be better than FM but it is all down to how many stations the broadcaster wants on the available capacity. The more stations the lower the quality of each.

Britons travelling home via EU airports ‘should allow three hours’ before flights
Entry-exit system which replaces passport stamps with digital registration causing huge delays at border checks British passengers returning home via European airports should arrive three hours before their flights are due to depart, an airline boss has advised, amid concerns about new security procedures causing large queues. The EU entry-exit system (EES), which replaces passport stamps with a digital registration, has been gradually been introduced in Europe since October 2025 and became fully operational last month. Some have faced huge delays at border checks, airports have said. Continue reading...

Reading stories of people who missed their flight due to delays at the border leaving the EU and saying they have to wait 4 days for the next flight. Just for info, in Europe they also have things called High Speed Trains…

Days after declaring total victory and boasting that no other military could match the US, Trump is now begging other countries — including China — to send warships to stop his Iran war from spiraling into catastrophe. A galactic humiliation.
Many Countries, especially those who are affected by Iran’s attempted closure of the Hormuz Strait, will be sending War Ships, in conjunction with the United States of America, to keep the Strait open and safe. We have already destroyed 100% of Iran’s Military capability, but it’s easy for them to send a drone or two, drop a mine, or deliver a close range missile somewhere along, or in, this Waterway, no matter how badly defeated they are. Hopefully China, France, Japan, South Korea, the UK, and others, that are affected by this artificial constraint, will send Ships to the area so that the Hormuz Strait will no longer be a threat by a Nation that has been totally decapitated. In the meantime, the United States will be bombing the hell out of the shoreline, and continually shooting Iranian Boats and Ships out of the water. One way or the other, we will soon get the Hormuz Strait OPEN, SAFE, and FREE! President DONALD J. TRUMP

In the "Treaty of the Danish West Indies", US President Woodrow Wilson signs in 1916 that "the Government of the United States of America will not object to the Danish Government extending its political and economic interests to the whole of Greenland." Trump wipes his rump with the contract!

I don’t know why they are giving Lord Mandelson airtime on the BBC this morning, but his defence of Trump is, as he himself would put it, ‘toe curling’. It is all focussed on trying to normalise and rationalise what is going on. Very much ‘ignore the evidence of your eyes’ territory.

Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan @london.gov.uk · 26/09/2025
I’m deeply concerned about recent racist attacks in our capital city.
From the TfL workers being punched and racially abused to women who were chased down the street - I’m deeply concerned about the alarming rise of racist attacks in our capital city.

We are also seeing appalling incidents elsewhere in the country - some of which have included abhorrent violence towards children.

These incidents illustrate the dangers of allowing racism to be normalised and mainstreamed. Real lives and personal safety are under threat.

I will continue to speak out against racial inequalities and injustices, as well as providing support to organisations working to support our communities and bring people together.

London is a successful, liberal and multicultural city. The greatest in the world. It will always be for everyone and I promise you: that will never change.

Digital ID as proposed by the government this morning amounts to a ‘nothing burger’ in terms of the aim to cut illegal immigration pull factors - there are too many employers willing to risk employing illegal workers out there. They should’ve included the NHS and benefits access to have a chance.

So after travelling on a French TGV today my position on keeping dogs off Eurostar is stronger. One ‘accident’ in our carriage alone. Then another two dogs spraying the station canopy columns as soon as they got off and another s*it on the platform which people then rolled luggage through 🤮

@shelaghfogarty.bsky.social Being outside the EU puts us at risk because we can no longer trace this food back to source, and there is little risk of the foreign criminals being charged under laws to protect EU citizens - the EU is not responsible for the UKs food safety any more.

The laws on increased pension age were voted for in parliament by MPs. People still don't understand that they do not have a personal state pension pot; pensions paid out today are funded by taxes paid today. It is therefore a government paid benefit, alebit you earn increased rights over time.

As well as £1m on agricultural land & machinery Farmers will get the IHT allowances we all get on their farmhouses & estate, there is the 7 year rule, they only pay 20% on their land above £1m & they have 10 years to pay it without interest. Still a much better deal than for most family businesses!
