![Five Fingers
ITEM 18
Rare, Cursed, Invested, Magical
Usage worn; Bulk L
This gnarled, disembodied hand is covered in deep scarring and its skin has been tinged a deep shade of inky grey. Where the wrist was severed, a finely crafted silken cloth in a sanguine shade of red has been wrapped around it and affixed to a golden ring allowing for it to be easily secured to a strap or belt. When found, 1d4-1 of the five fingers are already curled and blackened with decay. When a creature invests in this hand, the uncurled fingers ignite with an illusory blue flame.
Activate - Glimpse of Death [R] envision; Trigger You are hit with a Strike or spell that deals damage or inflicts a condition; Effect You envision your own death from that Strike or spell as one of the fingers on the hand curls and rots, the illusory flame on it extinguishes. You instead take no damage and are not inflicted with any condition as a result of the triggering Strike or spell.
When you take damage that would reduce you to zero hit points, the hand automatically negates the triggering damage without your input, curling a finger when it does. When the last finger on this hand curls and rots, the grim reaper appears in a space adjacent to you. It is hostile to you and intends to collect your soul for cheating death. Should you defeat the grim reaper, the curse ends and the hand becomes a normal severed hand.](https://cdn.bsky.app/img/feed_thumbnail/plain/did:plc:pb7cm7pnmngs2wlas6ug5jqf/bafkreidrkvtstu5mdvbpufomdgh6bmbmy5p4z2lxuqkop2l6jcltsawn4m)

This volatile looking glass vial is filled with a writhing and squirming red substance tinged with green and black rot that seems to be in a constant state of motion. An attempt has been made to keep this vial sealed shut with a length of rope that has been wrapped around it, securing the cork in place. A slight scent of iron and putrid flesh seeps from it at all times.
You gain a +1 item bonus to attack rolls made with this bomb. The bomb causes lesions to open on the victims skin dealing 2d6 persistent bleed damage and 2 void splash damage. Any creature hit by the bomb or in its splash area must attempt a DC 25 Fortitude saving throw. Creatures in the splash area treat the results of their saving throw as one step better.
