sega didn't cancel the license, archie did. They canceled/shelved all their side projects at that time to focus on Riverdale. All Sega did was move to IDW first chance they got and not keep internal track of which characters they still own from the archie deal.

Your description of Surge and Kit is so obviously second-hand because anyone who actually knows the androids and surge and kit can tell you they don't act the same at all. The only similarity is commented on by Ian in a podcast, and that's in their backstory.

First line of It doesn't matter "I don't show off don't criticize", those are the first things sonic does in any episode of sonic X. The only thing Sonic shares with that theme in practice is the chill apathetic attitude the title implies. But that's okay, we can't expect you to read past a title.

Are we really counting the small red slashes as blood? Also, again. The entire plot of sonic prime deals with a much larger body count. You can not like how the themes were delivered, but the show was dark if you thought about it even for a second.

Far as I can tell, the ages are just there for what age range they think will already resonate with that cast member, hence why the fan service bat furry is given 16-18 as her age and not like, old enough to drink at the bar she seemingly owns.

They actually removed the official ages a while back. Probably because older fans have older readings of them and younger fans only use the ages to harass people over. The franchise has something for fans of every age group.

Ken doesn’t have any control over her coming back or not, the encyclospeedia features her, if there was any copyright issues, sonic chronicles would have been skipped like sonic pocket adventure was. They don’t use shade because chronicles doesn’t fit into continuity and was a commercial flop.

There is a caveat there. Not every person out there has the time and support to make their own AU. That being said, fanworks that made those AUs a thing DO exist, and people behind those might be open to requests. Fandoms in general need to get more comfortable with supporting fanworks. for sure.

I did not like the new villain's design. I never liked Silver having anything to do with Main Timeline Blaze because it keeps both of them away from much more interesting plotlines for the sake of a reference to a game that canonically didn't happen in this timeline. I was just hoping it was short

Okay so non-spoiler thoughts on the latest IDW Sonic. For context I love 90% of IDW and my only major complaints boil down to "The writers need a side comic to focus on a corner of the world sega can give them a blank check to write about." But I was ready to HATE this story.

the doctors quote directly implies he is not a good person, which is an inherent theme in his character. He doesn’t think he’s a good person because he doesn’t meet his own high standards. Superman in contrast is such a good person he surpasses most people’s standards and still feels he can grow.
