You cannot convince me Ian “lets glue these broken lore bits together“ Flynn, at no point in this story arc. Didn’t consider making it canon that Tails got his intelligence boost from mammoth mogul. It fits WAY too well for him to have never thought of it. #archiesonicth #archiesonic #mammothmogul

And if you actually READ the comics, you wouldn't talk like she's incapable of the same compassion and chill confidence as Sonic X. But then, if you actually consumed Sonic Media, it'd cut into your time parroting other people's opinions based on a show you don't even care about enough to rewatch.

I feel like we’re overdue for meeting any of Abrahams family in the game continuity. It an easy in for another major human character with minimal story prep.

I also raise you that this bit of dialogue means the speed force is made up of sonic's excess energy from multiple universes. So the flash family is faster by sonic, but only because Sonic's speed is stacked ontop of their own.

I just wanna say, if the mystery villain in the latest IDW arcs is in any way tied to HEXAeco I am genuinely convinced someone at IDW has bugged my house because I am the only person I know who cares about a background company in sonic heroes. #sonicidw #soniccomics #HEXAeco #sonicthehedgehog

didn’t get roped into sonic until my teenage years. And my hedgehog wasn’t official. www.deviantart.com/e09etm

Maria the Hedgehog, a fan character that swept the internet 20 years ago, and inspired many copy cats. The original concept; A yellow hedgehog with a metallic blue and silver dress, was actually part of a magic focused team in the sol dimension, and she was writen to be unaware of who she resembled.

You might just not get comic strip style humor. Because once they stopped being about the editor and actually built around the characters, they were pretty consistently at least smile worthy.

Thoughts on the Chaotix anniversary story: It doesn't do anything bad, but I feel alot of these milestone stories are severely lacking in anything significant. I get not wanting to overshadow the main plot, but I don't want to have everything sonic puts out this year to be "pretty good but lacking."

Segas fault for constantly throwing around the idea of “crossworlds” ”multiverses” and saying they’re going to bring in characters “from all corners of the sonic universe” Nevermind, having a whole track in crossworlds that closely resembles SatAM backgrounds over any other sonic thing.

They have rights to Gmerl, Mecha Sonic, Metal 3.0 and Chaos sonic. They do not have rights to use Shard. Shards tied up in multiple archie creators, so while there's a chance some obscure characters will drop. For shard, you'll have to settle for one of his four successors.

Gemerl, Robot with similar character arc to shard, even having his personality in archies reboot.

Scrapnik Mecha sonic, has a near identical back story to shard, but a very different personality.

metal sonic mach 3.0, the inspiration for shards final design, who has since been getting more attention. Best bet to a shard revival that looks like shard.

Chaos Sonic from sonic prime, Shards personality but without the redemption arc. Best bet to reviving shards personality in any character.

Not officially, this is the mecha sonic that was called silver sonic. Different robot from a different Sonic 2. Archie used the silver sonic name for the first mecha sonic, but officially they're mecha sonic I, or Robo Sonic if you want a unique name, like lego gave it.

I feel you're confusing power ranger fans with fans of mighty morping who only watch stuff that specifically calls back to the first series. Any Power ranger fans I've come across are just toku fans who started with Power Rangers. The easy test to tell between them is asking them who this is.

Sorry, not to downplay your good taste. but... "Still the only major villain from a specific Sonic game to show up in IDW." That's... not true. The only ones who haven't appeared are characters who wouldn't make sense showing up, because they're dead, missing or trapped in another dimension.

Heavy King, Major villain of sonic mania, returned in the first classic sonic special.

Zavok of the Deadly Six, primary antagonist of lost world, and reoccurring antagonist in IDW.

Mecha Sonic, Major antagonist from sonic 3&k, the first time since heroes that a classic character returned for a modern appearance.

The withcarters, Antagonists of Tails Sky Patrol, returned and got completed designs in the tails anniversary special.

Freed Foremem @foremem.bsky.social · 09/06/2025

I think we can discard basically every in universe argument against your favorite sonic character coming back. If sonic can drive around in a form he canonically can’t access next to hatsune miku and Nine, I think wanting playable Maria and Tikal in non-canon multiplayer games is also reasonable.

Well then you got alot to catch up on. He’s even had a car bed in the archie comics and live action movies. He’s also been tied to biplanes since the first game, his main logo is based on aviator emblems. Vehicles and sonic go hand in hand.

Game continuity doesn’t really have any good options, since he doesn’t have a lot of people his age that he wouldn’t think of as family by the time he’s an adult. Best option I’d say is pulling in pearly the manta ray from archie, or one of the Halloween special kids.

010

Freed Foremem @foremem.bsky.social · 07/05/2025

Unless tikals on there I think I got the best one

010

Freed Foremem @foremem.bsky.social · 13/04/2025

I tend to pair her with pre-reboot archie characters due to the lack of game & movie continuity characters that click with her energy. Harvey Who very much feels like the harsh mentor to her gentle teacher. If you want a toxic ship that’s guaranteed to fail but has interesting lore, finitevus.

110

Freed Foremem @foremem.bsky.social · 12/04/2025

Honest answer: this was a tough one, since a wholly comedic character can’t have a serious spouse. The closest I can manage is cam and/or bert of B.A.R.F. since they’re twisted enough to take a relationship with an evil robot seriously but silly enough to not screw up the dynamic.

000

Freed Foremem @foremem.bsky.social · 12/04/2025

Had to think about this from the ground up, since Mimics whole deal is that he see’s connections as performative and temporary, he’d need someone who’s wholly genuine in their affection, but also toxic as possible so Mimic betraying them makes them even more attracted to him. Only one came to mind.

000

Freed Foremem @foremem.bsky.social · 11/04/2025

Game Amy has very few popular ships that I can get invested in. But blaze fits all the criteria for her type, is subversive enough to be interesting, and their personalities play off each-other in a very bouncy and satisfying way.

000

Freed Foremem @foremem.bsky.social · 11/04/2025

I’ll do them as separate replies. For tails this ones more recent but due to the ambiguity of both their ages & there finally being an intellectual equal for him that’s not a bully or absolute enemy, I really like the idea of him and sage together in the future.

000

Freed Foremem @foremem.bsky.social · 11/04/2025

This one’s tough because I love the inherent humor of him and rouge being ex’s and him being in constant denial of his attraction to sonic, so any ship he does get involved in has to have some inherent humor to it. Main canon Sticks provides that while also matching his crazy.

000

Freed Foremem @foremem.bsky.social · 11/04/2025
