I think it is intimately connected — such a violent system cannot be reformed or diversified but must be revolutionized and dismantled As long as the system continues to decorate war enablers, there will be racism and war criminals, empowering people like Hegseth

Whitewashing this history, even with noble intentions, perpetuates violence & dishonors the brave sacrifice of Black men, women, & others who resisted the military-industrial complex and highlighted the connection between (say) the crimes of Vietnam and the repression of marginalized back in the USA

Putting the AI-aside… While we should remember (and celebrate) his challenges to White Supremacy, we mustn’t ignore the fact that General James was a jingoist who fought for an imperialist nation in criminal wars, complicit in the deaths of millions of people including civilian adults & children

Zionism is a species of ethno-nationalism which is inherently violent and genocidal… All nation-states built on biopolitical sovereignty need to be dismantled… any nation that claims political “ownership” of land or a population is trouble

American institutions, including the NYPD, are entangled with antisemitism/anti-Black racism. That is going to be a problem with using any “official” statistics. Jewishness and Blackness are just some of the prime targets of White Supremacy… its diffuse & nuanced nature makes it the more insidious

Jab @forcedryder.bsky.social · 30/09/2026
That is a weirdly, harmful way of framing a real concern of Black hate-crimes being institutionally ignored Of courses, it gets even more complicated when one appreciates that the two forms of racism are historically interconnected, no anti-Blackness without antisemitism and vice versa

If anyone should be offended it is Mexicans at the appropriation of their cultural music to play an imperialist anthem…

Paying a bare minimum working wage doesn’t mean that a business isn’t part of an exploitive labor system, particularly one that is entangled within the animal industrial complex Working class liberation and animal liberation go hand-in-hoof…

When a society is built on taxonomies of violence, it is unsurprising that rape culture remains fundamental to its very heart As long as this supremacist, exploitive nation is allowed to exist, sexual violence will remain a common reality Anyone aware who is living without fear is privileged

Brave but also fortunate to even have that opportunity… others were struggling just to survive, and not all did We need to abolish the carceral state, the military-industrial complex, and the system of coercive violence that empowers racism and fascism

While one can applaud a takedown of threatening misogyny, it is frustrating how people ignore the clear connection between the exploitation of other animals and that of humans… Butchering and castrating pigs provides the space to treat women as broodmares and sex meat…

So true… as if Trump popped into the White House out of nowhere Trump is American-born, American-educated, influenced by American motives, and aided by American institutions He is tainted fruit from a poisonous tree, and pruning him alone won’t get to the roots of the USA’s problems

Perhaps I can shed some light… Antisemitism, at least it’s modern iteration is a form of racism which can but need not involve religion (e.g. discriminating against Jews as an ethnicity or race) Opposition to or hate of Judaism as a religion (or Jewish practitioners) is anti-judaism…

Jab @forcedryder.bsky.social · 24/09/2026
That may or may not be true, but your image quote said “If you didn't vote for Kamala Harris, This is your fault” which implicates not only members of the DSA but anyone who didn’t vote, including those disenfranchised Blaming the disenfranchised for stuff voters authorized seems a little rich…

Jab @forcedryder.bsky.social · 24/09/2026
It seems heartless and cruel to suggest that undocumented people & non-citizens, the ones who are being persecuted by ICE, are somehow at fault for Trump given they didn’t vote for Harris… It is also not true… just because a person didn’t vote for Harris doesn’t mean they are responsible for Trump

So many good points! Trump is the boil of a much sicker system, and Democrats have some serious self-reflecting to do about their own contributions to such violence (The racist exploitative Trump moved back and forth between the parties with ease over the decades)

One of the scariest consequences of Trump is that he sets such a low bar that the opposition doesn’t need to do much to offer itself as a “better” alternative It is indeed grim, for trans, for nonhuman animals, for many others…

Exactly! The atrocities being committed against the Palestinians should be a wake up call against all ethnonationalist states The genocidal attacks need to stop, reparations & real healing needs to begin, and the world needs to reckon with its racist, imperialist institutions
000
Jab @forcedryder.bsky.social · 22/09/2026
This issue of past atrocities, which is straying from the main point that conquest does not give title under current international law, is not simply about the existence of victims but also the persistence of perpetrators There are power institutions today that are responsible for genocide&slavery

Jab @forcedryder.bsky.social · 22/09/2026
I just hope I am enhancing this discussion, without stepping on anyone’s toes, whether or not others are acting in good faith As I first said, I hope we can end the suffering in Palestine and also use this tragedy to critique global institutions so something like this cannot happen again Peace!

Jab @forcedryder.bsky.social · 22/09/2026
Totally — and I love the points you raised as well! I think there is no conflict in addressing the pressing and particular atrocities occurring in Palestine while others raise their historical and global connections. In fact, they both enhance each other as they are interwoven

Jab @forcedryder.bsky.social · 22/09/2026
I don’t want to preempt this discussion, but indigeneity is a nuanced and fluid concept… However, its modern origins can be traced to Western taxonomies defining groups by imperial interaction, which evolved into racism Indigenous were the people who existed before the arrival of Westerners

Jab @forcedryder.bsky.social · 22/09/2026
Apple and oranges as well to the fact that we are currently living in a world structured by Western imperialism, genocide, and chattel slavery… those injustices are not past but very present So addressing those active injustices is not some historical exercise but a contemporary imperative
110
Jab @forcedryder.bsky.social · 22/09/2026
Exactly! Past wrongdoing does not excuse present ones… At the same time, nations that are still living off the benefits of past wrongdoing are under a moral obligation to make up for historical wrongs!!!

Jab @forcedryder.bsky.social · 22/09/2026
No, it is the opposite — having all those modern nation states reckon with the fact that they were founded upon (and remain complicit) in genocide and structures of violence, beginning a process of reparations & restorative justice where possible, and remorse & repentance where not

Jab @forcedryder.bsky.social · 22/09/2026
John Wilkes Booth and his conspirators planned to assassinate Andrew Johnson as well Lincoln was too conciliatory towards the South… what you needed was someone like Thaddeus Steven or Charles Sumner in charge
010
Jab @forcedryder.bsky.social · 22/09/2026
Totally, and I wish international law would apply that principle to nation-states that have derived their foundation to conquest and maintain their structures through violence (Johnson v. M'Intosh is still valid law in the United States) Hopefully Palestine can led to a real global reckoning

Glad they are finally doing this, but justice is delayed is justice denied And the mainstream press is partly responsible for empowering Trump by gifting him uncritical coverage

Someone suggested that you have to believe in human rights in order to be moral, and when I responded with this, they blocked me…
000
Jab @forcedryder.bsky.social · 22/09/2026
In other words, it is good to remember that human rights as a paradigm came out of a particular cultural tradition, and while adopted beyond the West, particularly as a result of Western culture imperialism, not every person or society believes in the socially-constructed notion of natural rights
110
Jab @forcedryder.bsky.social · 22/09/2026
I agree, though you can believe all those things without believing in a rights-based regime… Also, I don’t think one has to fit some sort of socially-constructed “human” category in order not to be killed, maimed, etc… Good to be mindful that other peaceful worldviews exist outside human rights

Jab @forcedryder.bsky.social · 22/09/2026
More like red, white, & blue shirts… Good to remember that what we are seeing isn’t merely the import of Nazi ideology but the product of centuries of American-born racism that inspired the Nazis

Fair, though I would caution that not everyone sees the world through a “human rights” regime which is largely drawn from Western constructs Also, some people believe in diversal (rather than universal—also Western-centric) human identities
110
Jab @forcedryder.bsky.social · 22/09/2026
This would be great as well for recognizing and honoring anti-sexists who come from paradigms outside the Western worldview! Not everyone who fights against misogyny adheres to the categories of patriarchy, including the Western-centric enlightenment idea of equality that is core to feminism
000
Jab @forcedryder.bsky.social · 21/09/2026
I love that! Of course, we have to be careful not to force people into Western-created identities… I know some people who reject humanism for other worldviews that do not rely so strongly on the human/animal border or enlightenment ideas of equality

Jab @forcedryder.bsky.social · 21/09/2026
I think you raise many good points! I would just say that I don’t think the country is corrupt because it was never innocent in the first place… The system of injustice is working as designed, and any cure requires revolutionizing its core purpose: exploiting nature, humans & other animals

Jab @forcedryder.bsky.social · 20/09/2026
I mean, Kennedy is a poster child for the liberal whitewashing of American imperialism…
011
Jab @forcedryder.bsky.social · 19/09/2026
Good point! Of course, issues of voter apathy shouldn’t obscure the fact that large swaths of the population remain effectively disenfranchised in the country (Americans living outside the electoral colleges, Americans with disabilities, non-Citizen residents, and many others)
010
Jab @forcedryder.bsky.social · 18/09/2026
Such an important point… If anything, it was the evil of American imperialism that was the root cause of the deaths and destruction of 9/11

Jab @forcedryder.bsky.social · 18/09/2026
That was a warlike Congress, and the USA is a bloodthirsty country… Even Barbara Lee wasn’t against the state of American violence, just the infrastructure of how it was done 250 years of American history proves why that is wrong

It is refreshing, but there is still the worry that mentioning loss of life and giving condolences might mask bigger institutional concerns That someone should die in custody is inherently wrong (res ipsa loquitar) and we should not give our final applause until the need for change is addressed

Jab @forcedryder.bsky.social · 16/09/2026
Good that people are able to challenge these violent enforcers with their white privilege… hope they are safe Going up like that could be a death sentence for many others, and whiteness is not a complete immunity as we have seen

Were there any New Yorkers who supported Mexican independence? I believe Xavier Mina and others visited the city, and I wouldn’t be surprised if merchants and freedom fighters might have lent supplies & moral support

Jab @forcedryder.bsky.social · 16/09/2026
Maybe, but I haven’t seen any real data that substantiates your claim of meaningful effect… As to my support, I think you are confusing me for somebody else: I’ve been campaigning against American terrorism & imperialism long before Trump entered the mainstream’s discourse/race for the White House

Unfortunately, more Americans preferred Trump to Harris irrespective how people against the atrocities in Gaza voted or not voted www.npr.org/2025/06/26/n... Of course, things could have been different with a different set of campaign priorities, but that is a matter for speculation…

Trump still would have won in 2024 even if everyone had turned out to vote, Pew finds
In 2024, 64% of the eligible-voting population turned out, the second highest in 120 years. New data show that even if all those voters who stayed home had voted, Trump would still be president today.
