Slowly but surely starting to feel like a person again after the past 7 weeks. ER visits, surgery consults, and the works are hopefully in the past. Looking forward to feeling better again 😃

Happy 4th from the ER! I’m doing ok, just some stomach issues and hopefully getting some answers soon.

I turn 39 this week. As I start thinking about 40, I’ve decided this is the year I take care of me, too. I’m grateful for braces, a healthier mindset, being down 17 pounds, and finally finding some peace from the constant food noise in my head. Next stop: the gym and getting stronger. 😁

The rainbow never promised an easy road, just that the storm wouldn’t last forever. Joy is an act of courage. Today, I’m choosing both. 🌈✨

Lately the only thing keeping me grounded and calm is the gorgeously morose score to Season 1 of Stranger Things. “Kids” especially. It feels like the intro to the best M83 album never made. Half John Hughes, half John Carpenter, and pure aching nostalgia... youtu.be/Ha2OcL_0gtM?...

Happy #RSD2026! Here’s this year’s haul. Best moment of the day? The store throwing in Kanye’s new album for free… and every single person ahead of me laughing and saying, “No, I’m good.” 💀

Vinyl records from The Cure, Cocteau Twins, Death Cab For Cutie, Sufjan Stevens, and Billy Paul.

We watched Sinners last night and I was blown away. The cinematography, acting, editing, screenplay, and music were all incredible. Ryan Coogler knocked it out of the park. If you haven’t seen it yet, go watch it on HBO Max. Hoping it sweeps at the Oscars tonight!

25 years ago today, my mom and I walked through a sleeping Disneyland at 1:00 am, waited by the Matterhorn, then became the first guests inside Disney’s California Adventure and the first group on Soaring Over California. Happy anniversary, DCA! 💙

Today marks 3 years since my Dads passing and I miss him every day. I’m so grateful that I was able to be there when he passed and was able to play the score from Soarin’ Over California when he took his last breath. He’s now soarin’ over us, blessing us, and always taking care of us.

It’s so great to see younger listeners discovering New Order’s incredible track “The Perfect Kiss” because of Marty Supreme. If you want to go even deeper, I genuinely recommend what might be the best compilation of all time.

The album cover for New Order’s Substance. It’s a white square with the text “New Order Substance 1987”.

This is me at the end of the hardest year of my life. Caregiver burnout, medical trauma, mental health spirals, and losing myself along the way. I’m sharing this because 2026 is about taking myself back, Honestly, imperfectly, and out loud.🧵

We’ve been home from the hospital for a few days now and I wanted to share an update on Mitchell’s recovery. It has been a lot, but he’s making steady progress and we’re taking everything day by day. Thank you for all the love you’ve sent our way. 🧵

Hi friends. I’ve been a little quiet because the past few days have turned our world upside down. Mitchell went in for a heart cath on Nov 21 after some concerning stress test results. We thought it would be routine, but what they found was far more serious than anyone expected. 🧵
