Did, did Keith Hernandez seriously go like three years without making the Serpientes -> Serpents -> Snakes -> Diamondbacks connection? #Mets #LGM #LFGM #MetsSky

NYM 4 COL 2 Final Carson Benge made some plays. David Peterson was sharper. The relievers were good. That's three wins in the last four. The Mets are 13-22.

Those are the sorts of plays which should be scored errors and never will be. Illustrates why the error is a busted metric. #Mets #LGM #LFGM #MetsSky

Officially did not miss Keith now. Happy is he feeling better but I did not miss his get off my lawn comments about the modernization of the game.

Only Keith Hernandez could turn a moment about honoring a legend of the game into a story about himself.

Boy oh boy is @snpittsburgh.selfhosted.social temping the baseball gods with their gloating over the past two games. Fort needs to watch it with the taunting. #LetsGoBucs

Wouldn't be a #Mets 1st inning without surrendering a run. #LGM #LFGM #MetsSky

Lil bit of #Mets and Pirates history I picked up tonight. This is the debut game for Jameson Tallion on 6/8/2016. Noah Syndergaard started for the Mets. I highlghted the 2nd base bag in the 1st inning because I now own that bag. Authenticated. #LGM #LFGM #MetsSky

I figured I made the Apple TV Broadcast on the second Davis HR. I sure did.

Piecing this game together from the scroecard. Angels have no hits since the first yet scored a run in the 3rd on Neto HBP, then 2 steals and a bad throw on the 2nd one. Huh.

Gary has been dying to say "down goes Frazier" all night. Just got home from a 37 degree PNC Park and a big Pirates win. #Mets #LGM #LFGM #MetsSky

Well, I was in frame for that Nate Church Robbery of Nick Gonzales in the 9th at PNC. That's 100% my glove. It was over the wall for sure if Church does not catch it.

Luis Garcia on for the Twins after the Mets dumped him and he still can't find the zone.

The Pete Alonso farewell is not the thing we should be mad about. We should be mad about the Nimmo deal. He's outperforming his career averages in Texas.

Forbes & Shea @forbesandshea.bsky.social · 27/04/2026

I have four games in four days at PNC. I routinely wear Mets jerseys. I feel like I need to wear the Grimace jersey today. I mean I have a LOT of options. I'll for sure wear white on Thursday, Black on Wednesday (rain). I have an orange I generally go to but I am feeling Grimace today.

Okay I think I'm going to go cry in the shower now. This feels like a night of knives for the Mets.

The idea of adding yet another starter to the bullpen is only going to make the bullpen unmanageable. One of those arms has to go somewhere else. #Mets ##LGM #LFGM #MetsSky

Senga indicates a willingness to go to the bullpen but when asked about another demotion which he has to agree to he said that requires a lot of conversation with a lot of people and he cannot give a yes or no answer right now. #Mets ##LGM #LFGM #MetsSky

Even Howie Rose just hinted that with an off day tomorrow, he imagines the Mets will make a coaching move. That’s how bad it is. #LGM

I will also give Juan Soto a ton of credit for going in front of the reporters on camera given the state of things. The spot you would expect Lindor to be in. He navigated obvious gotcha soundbite driven questions with Grace. #Mets ##LGM #LFGM #MetsSky

Soto may have just bought Mendy another series. He took responsibility. He said it was on the players and not the manager or the general manager. I find that to be very honorable but also wrong. #Mets ##LGM #LFGM #MetsSky

And now Mendoza clearly shifted blame onto the players. I think that comment right there will be the end of it. He's very frustrated and talking about the level of preparation and how not translating to execution. #Mets ##LGM #LFGM #MetsSky

Forbes & Shea @forbesandshea.bsky.social · 27/04/2026

When asked about his mid day comment about the team being fixable and then being pressed for specifics on what exactly can be done to fix things Mendoza could not provide anything except the standard "we have to go through it" nonsense. #Mets ##LGM #LFGM #MetsSky

Mendoza's language with the reporters is one of frustration and resignation. I almost feel like he already knows he's gone. #Mets ##LGM #LFGM #MetsSky

Mendoza is very aware and very defensive of the idea that he is on the last of any strings left if he has any left. He got pretty emotional about it in post game. #Mets ##LGM #LFGM #MetsSky

Mendoza intends to speak to Stearns about Senga. That means they're going to explore options for how to get him off this team. #Mets ##LGM #LFGM #MetsSky

One run in 18 innings. In 14 of 28 games this year the Mets have scored two runs or fewer. The Mets fall to 10 games under .500. This is a systemically poor ball club. Firing the manager will not fix it but it still needs to happen. #Mets ##LGM #LFGM #MetsSky

That was a double play ball by Alvarez in the 8th. There just happened to be two outs already. He's been slumping into really bad ground balls over the last two weeks. #Mets ##LGM #LFGM #MetsSky

I really hope that there is a crew currently putting all of Mendoza's stuff into a brown box for him to grab on his way out after this game is over. #Mets ##LGM #LFGM #MetsSky

Forbes & Shea @forbesandshea.bsky.social · 26/04/2026

The #Mets have an off day tomorrow. The next one is not until 5/7. I do not think Mendoza's rope is that long. I HATE the idea of Cora in our dugout but its there and a Phillies clock is ticking on Stearns. The Mets get swept and I think Mendy is gone tomorrow. ##LGM #LFGM #MetsSky

Forbes & Shea @forbesandshea.bsky.social · 26/04/2026

Its probably time for the #Mets to part ways with Senga if they can facilitate a trade. The injuries and the inconsistency have reached a point where it's a giant hole in this team. #Mets ##LGM #LFGM #MetsSky

The poor construction of this team is on Stearns. However the total lack of focus resulting in "2 pitchers" or a pitcher standing on the line home, or the myriad of base running and fielding errors is on Mendoza. Baseball players don't do those things. #Mets #LGM #LFGM #MetsSky

040

Forbes & Shea @forbesandshea.bsky.social · 26/04/2026

Ronnie talking about the #Mets "going through these streaks". I think he and everyone needs to realize that this is who they are. Pretty decent pitching and absolutely zero offensive ability. #LGM #LFGM #MetsSky

020

Forbes & Shea @forbesandshea.bsky.social · 26/04/2026

I'm at the blow it all up point. I'm not sure what they're working so hard on every day but it's surely not about getting base hits.

010

Forbes & Shea @forbesandshea.bsky.social · 26/04/2026

#Mets waste bases loaded and 1 down. Team still missing the assignment on this that your job is a mid depth fly ball to score at least one given we're not going to power our way to wins. Have to chip chip chip every game. #LGM #LFGM #MetsSky

Well, I am sure Ronnie is glad the SNY booth blasted some real cacophony of a soundtrack at a volume level higher than he was speaking during whatever he was saying there. Online audio of broadcasts has been super poor this season. #Mets #LGM #LFGM #MetsSky

The best part about Tommy Pham being a NEGATIVE 74 OPS+ is that he is also FanDuel's "13th hottest pick" today. Tells you all you need to know about betting and baseball. They are 100% trying to victimize you.

000

Forbes & Shea @forbesandshea.bsky.social · 26/04/2026

The problem is the signing. This is a deal/callup which should have never happened. That's on Stearns. Now you're in the politics of "respecting a veteran" which can impact Stearns' ability to sign actual decent veterans in the future if he just tosses Pham. #Mets #LGM #LFGM #MetsSky
