I thought having a small business would mean less emails than my old corporate job. Less "wait you misunderstand what I am asking for" back-and-forth. But no. 🪲

Does anyone else paranoidly check your straw before using one, just in case a spider crawled in when you weren't looking?

Some days I start feeling down that I'm not being productive and "doing something" with my life. But then I remember that I once dreamed of getting to where I am now. This was my goal, at one point. Now that I'm living it, it's so easy to take it for granted.

Sure is interesting writing a newsletter these days…

Memes cartoon of coffee-shop-on-fire dog. Flames everywhere. Dog says “So I painted a new picture.”

I can't believe I have to submit my marriage certificate to Google just to have my business ads work 👁️👄👁️ Like what. I can't just use my business license? What.

This might be a hot take, but saying "don't move here, Oregon's full" "don't come to the PNW" and things like that, is the same flavor as saying "go back to your own country"

Now online: fairy grunge / goblincore jewelry from local artist Overcast Trinkets 🌿🐌 #madeinportland #goblincore #fairygrunge #jewelry

A pair of dangle earrings with iridescent and black beads, and brass colored, heart-shaped charms with a star, moon, and eye cut into them.

A beaded bracelet made with mismatched black, grey, and dark green beads, including one mushroom shaped bead.

Confession: sometimes I buy weird things online simply as a challenge to the seller to ship it. A dollhouse for $10 shipped? A hoop skirt? An umbrella? I don't think you thought this through, but I'm ready to be impressed.

It may not be cool or hip in some circles, but we legitimately do need a massive amount of people to run for office. Flood the school boards, councils, county seats, state legislatures, Congress, etc. Big changes at the top happen when the ground shifts at the bottom. And that can start now.

An assortment of vintage wall art, stickers, brass jewelry, crystals, and brooches, laid out on dark colored fabric.

A close-up of the first photo, with crystal necklaces, a sticker of two beetles, and an enamel pin of a jackalope, laid out on dark fabric, with brass decor bordering the photo.

A close-up of the first photo, with a sticker sheet featuring different bugs, a sticker of a frog with wings, a small enamel pin of a frog, a carved stone turtle, and two pairs of brass earrings, all laid out on a mix of dark and white fabrics.

A close-up of the first photo, with two pairs of socks, one with a zodiac wheel and one with berries and frogs. The image also contains a candle with amethyst and flower petals in it, porcelain miniatures of a lion and a sheep, a leather mouse-shaped pouch, and brass vintage decor.
