I make stuff. Sometimes it's drawn, sometimes it's pixellated, sometimes it's playable, and other times it's spat out of a 3D printer. Projects and art commission info: fabiofontes.com #gamedev #indiedev #art #illustration #3dprinting #diy

Handheld keyboards can be convenient for a buncha stuff, but all available options always have some stupid caveat to me (wireless-only, crap layouts, iffy mouse control)... so fuck it, made one. Wiring's a mess but hey, it works!... though might be time I learn kikad or something lol

Not 100% sure on the colors but hey, beats Prototype Gray™! Also ditched the BTUs for good old silicon nitride static bearings, stiction's minimal anyway. Also that button in the ball socket's to hit the Boot on the rp2040 for easier reflashing #trackball #3dprint #3dprinting #qmk

Haven't had a paper printer in forever so nabbed one of them color laser ones (cartridges are a scam and ecotanks ain't much cheaper), which coupled with sublimation paper allows one to do... among other stuff, dyesub keycaps for my custom keyboard! #3Dprinting #3Dprint #mechanicalkeyboards

Got a pack of filament colors meant for 3D pens, so made these mini-spools to properly store them. Works quite well for spool leftovers too! Otherwise you're just keeping a mostly empty KG spool around. Link: www.thingiverse.com/thing:7376818 #3dprint #3dprinting

3D-printed clamshell-style micro-SD card holder. It is closed to show the outer shell, which has lines to make it resemble the silhouette of a micro-SD card, along with a logo styled similarly to the SD Association logo, but saying "SDeez" instead.3D-printed clamshell-style micro-SD card case, open to show how cards are laid out inside. There is a space for a full-size SD card adapter on one of the halves.

Here we have 3 specimens of the species dunginus plataformis femalis in their natural habitat, one so inhospitable that one's ability to thrive still leaves researchers... puzzled. For a small fee for operational costs, you too can contribute to discovering their methods of survival. For science.

Now that walls are working (still need work, I know), figured I'd add more along the track to spruce things up a bit. Along with something else that for now does fuck all (not even collisions), but... if you know, you know! #gamedev #indiedev #indiegame #godot #linux

Consider an alternative: Giant Ally Crab. #ttrpg #tmnt (Cover art by @fontes.bsky.social!)
The cover to Julian Kay's Mutants in the Mini: Merry Crabmas, a 'zine for Mutants in the Now. It features the title in big block letters with "mini" being in a shattered outline as if it's shrinking. The cover illustration features a large, giant grab putting tiny crabs in a bucket to help the across the road as normal crabs march across the road (a reference to the famous march of crabs on Australia's Christmas island). A pickup is stopped in the background, shining its headlights across the crabs and road in question. The subtitle reads "Micro-Companion 1 for the retro-modern, mutant animal, role-playing game!"

Bit more sprucin' up the environment, made the track change orientation and mirror at random for diversity, and added them billboards which adjust if the track's mirrored. Not much progress since the last post but hey, chuggin along. Should work on effects now? #gamedev #indiedev #indiegame #godot

Finally giving Morrowind a go (using openmw). While it's fun to do my usual hand-to-hand run, it's also funny to figure out you can kinda play this like a boomer shooter. Crossbows are funny like that. ... and yes, the series very much went downhill after this one.

If you saw that heightmap test I recently did... come on, you know it was but a matter of time till I threw the Ferrero in there, right? While busy with other stuff to actually work on BUAD2, this'll do for now even if it's not exactly "canon". Not yet at least, I dunno. #godot #indiedev #gamedev

Bit more tweaking and changed how the terrain works (just importing from Blender instead of messing with shaders and heightmap file conversions), looks kind of alright

Seems to be in right now to talk about game-launching mockups. Might as well skip that and show this thing I've been working on lately. There's still some fine-tuning before I release it, and still deciding on licenses but it will be FOSS, but as-is it does what I need it to do.
