We are well underway working on an album made entirely offline without the help of a modern computer (no DAW). There will be no editing at all, every sound you hear will be an actual performance. We won’t even reverse anything (and that’s really hard for me). We’re using a Tascam DP-24SD.

I woke up in Brooklyn 6 miles from the WTC when the planes hit and ended up 3 miles away from Ground Zero when the towers collapsed as I attempted to get to work. Had I been on time that day, I would have been in the epicentre of the disaster zone when Tower 1 collapsed. I was among the lucky ones.

As a NYC resident on 9/11, and having narrowly avoided the disaster zone due to being late for work, of course 9/11 was a pivotal moment for me. Yet as traumatic as the day’s events were, it was the aftermath that affected me the most. Here’s the full story: open.spotify.com/episode/4pE2...

The NYC disaster & exposure zone radius was 1.5 miles. Had I been on time for work, I would have ended up under Lower Manhattan when Tower 1 collapsed, in the zonal epicentre. I was lucky that day, to put it mildly.

I awoke in Brooklyn on 9/11, 6 miles from Ground Zero. I caught the F-train after the 2nd plane hit, 30 mins late for work. My train halted 3 miles from the WTC, 5 stops from Manhattan. While standing on the outdoor platform, both towers collapsed.

Water nationalisation for our water security? End north sea oil & gas - invest in renewables for our energy security? A maximum workplace temperature for worker security? No. A request not to sell BBQs. This is dire from Andy Burnham. Spectacularly mishandling the crisis.

Burnham had faced calls from the green party to chair a cobra meeting on the heatwaves with leader Zack Polanski accusing the pm of inaction amid threats to public health and food supplies
