Today an older Japanese man came up to me and asked if we could speak in English. I mentioned that I was from Toronto and he immediately showed me his belt buckle with the Toronto Maple Leafs logo on it. All my life experiences so far has never prepared me for such a moment.

I'm really not excited about this acquisition in the slightest. Only time will tell I guess, but I have major concerns about how they'll plan to operate the company and what it means for the freelancers working with them.

I've been kicking the can down the road for setting up some kind of portfolio webpage, but I'm honestly not sure if there's any point in it these days. I'm already working for the majority of the publishers I'd want to work with, and my work isn't really super fancy that I'd feel like showing off...

I’ll be honest, I never really bothered to fully get myself integrated here, but that other site might actually become illegal in Canada soon due to their stupid rules and changes. So it’s time to actually try to get myself acclimated here.
