Hey everyone,Today we’d like to share news on expanding our approach to Football Manager playtesting, and how you can get involved. We understand the need to ensure feedback is heard ahead of the next ...

About six months have passed since I last touched Football Manager 26. When the first game of the new FM era launched, it was a bug-ridden disaster that looked like the debut project of a single coder in their bedroom, rather than the latest chapter of a Triple-A studio's 34-year dynasty. Unsurprisingly, I've been focussing on other games during this cycle.

The 2026 World Cup is on the horizon. That means five weeks of non-stop football in the scorching North American heat, where ICE will be disappearing any spectators who look or sound foreign, while everyone else endures the ramblings of an egocentric fascist dictator... or those of his friend Donald. I'm sure you're excited too. And although there are 48 teams in this year's king-sized event, there are realistically only a handful who might actually win it.

It was supposed to be a blog about the next two seasons I played in Football Manager 26 with Lokeren. Yes, it was supposed to be. I finished the 2028/29 season, and at the same time, I was writing thi...

The summary of the most important and the most interesting things (from my point of view) from the two seasons in the Belgian top tier with Lokeren.

EXCLUSIVE BY SIMON JONES: Leam Richardson is emerging as a leading candidate to become the next manager of Blackburn Rovers.

How I'm using the Football Manager 26 new transfer feature TransferRoom (In) within the save with Lokeren.

It's time to discuss the state of Football Manager 26 - and the series as a whole. After a launch period that was nothing short of a PR disaster, and a full release that alienated much of its core audience, Sports Interactive's long-running franchise is at its lowest ebb for over 20 years. The community has been firmly split on FM26 - with many players pointing their fingers at SI or SEGA for producing a pile of rubbish, and other players putting their fingers in their ears and insisting that everything is fine.

FM Rensie wrote about the “Real World” database option, the rivalry with SK Beveren, the domestic cup run or about how I was afraid the save would end sooner than I expected.

I imagine that any view you have on ‘Seleção’ (the Brazilian National Team) would depend on how old you were when you first saw them play.  ‘Boomers’ like my dad’s generation would rave about the...

For God’s sake, Sports Interactive… Football Manager 26 has been out for a few weeks, and… mmm, yeah. It’s still a mess, isn’t it? While many FMers are still wrestling…

The short corner kick routine for Football Manager 26 by FM Rensie.

It has been a tremendous season for the newly promoted Shimizu S-Pulse in Japan. By playing a clean slate 4231 tactic we have ended the season with silverware. Today’s blog post focuses on this tact...

After the longest wait, Football Manager 26 is finally here... but is it any good? That's a question many people have already answered with an emphatic "no". FM26 came out on 4 November to unprecedentedly negative reviews on Steam, with a 27% approval rating as I write this. Even the professional gaming critics who consistently heap praise on FM have been much more divided this time around.

Welcome back to CoffeehouseFM. Post-imperial Japan is fascinating. The country’s culture had previously been one of the most secluded and preserved, until Allied forces occupied it for 6 years after ...

There are a couple of things missing in Football Manager 26. The touchline shouts feature is one of them. I found out I miss them more than I could’ve imagined, and I decided to create some kind of co...

It would be best to cancel the FM25; I don’t want the unfinished game. These were my own words back in February this calendar year when the cancellation of the FM25 was announced. Well, I didn’t get ...

Hi Reader. I hope you are well, it has been a while. This post is a spiritual successor to ‘The Ultimate Target Forward’ post from the FM24 cycle .  But before that, let me share my brief th...
