I’ve had to hear so much crying about the Dodgers who won 2 World Series by the skin of their teeth, paid for big names who mostly didn’t show up, all for them to get swept by a small market team. Embarrassing stuff by baseball observers in general & now we might get a lock out. I’m so annoyed

I asked the pinball bar if they would put on the game and they laughed at me. They laughed and pointed and said “Oh is there a sports ball happening?” and called me a dumb jock to my face and wouldn’t serve me a drink until I said “I’m a dumb jock” and then I cried and they just laughed more.

People will feel how they feel & that’s fine but until they fall apart I’m not going to think that a team with this pitching lineup & still elite Schwarber & Harper can’t get a WS. Obligatory “lots be done” but you get it

The “they were lifeless for 80% of the season” takes are so annoying, that’s just recency bias. A lifeless team doesn’t battle back from 10 under to getting within 3 of overtaking the division crown.

Programming really isn't as hard as it's made out to be. Hardest thing is learning the jargon. I'm confident almost all of you could actually switch careers & be developers if you wanted. I was able to learn via youtube back in 2011, it's gotten so much easier since.

They really should have gone for Judge. I wonder how close they could have gotten with the same money offer & Bryce doing a hard recruit. Probably wouldn’t have happened anyway but I keep thinking about the WBC & how those 2 were always together

Play in has made it more fun & the new lottery will push more teams try. But agreed that making the playoffs in baseball is a much bigger deal because of how hard it is. That + the 2022 Pennant should give the Phillies another year or so before they get the full (pre Brown/Lebron) Sixers resentment

It’ll get there. Sixers are in the same spot (with far less post season success). They’ve now had 4 50 win seasons since 2018 (after only having 2 since 1990) while making the playoffs 8 out of the last 9 seasons. By far the best era of Sixers basketball in my life & people still doom over them
