If the world starts using cars, and you make saddle bags, and saddles for horses... Don´t be surprised when you're left behind unless you start making leather seats for the cars. AI is a tool, no matter if you agree with it or not, its here to stay.

So I spent some of this morning being a MacBook technician >_> @socialturtle.eu decided his laptop needed a splash of tea ☕️ 💦 💻 It’s been taken apart and sitting in front of a fan where it will stay for a while. Luckily the winter air is really dry right now, so it should dry out fast. 🌬️

Latest scan from this morning of the Blatten Switzerland area. This one is not a comparison over time, but just me getting the data into a usable format for viewing. I will do another one to compare to the previous scans from last month later today.

SAR data is literally magical looking in some of its raw forms.

Landslide area in the Blatten Switzerland area. These colors compare the difference in the area between 17 May and 29 May 2025. This is SAR data from the Sentinel 1 satellite.

I'm trying to combine multiple scans from the Sentinel1 satellite into one image. So i get better scans of the mountainous area in Switzerland. Since the scans from multiple angles can give perspective on an area that would otherwise be obscured. Its the "SeNtinel Applications Platform" or SNAP.

Lately I’ve been editing maps on OSM, and using the Sentinel 1 satellite to map terrain changes over time in 3D.

I've three rolls of film that I need to develop. I need to get the chemicals so I can start doing this at home. I love my local lab, but I'm not in a financial situation where I can afford to have them develop for me right now.

Was a little disappointed getting part of Silo spoiled for me and @socialturtle.eu by watching a recent video from Adam Savage and TESTED on YouTube. They put a disclaimer in the comments, but since my YT watching is 95% on our TV we didn’t see warning until after we had seen the spoilers :-/
