Something new coming to High Iron: Rerailed is electric trains! Here are our first samples - a Nippon Sharyo McI electric multiple unit car painted in as-delivered 1982 South Shore Line livery, and a Kinki Sharyo P3010 light rail car painted in the current Los Angeles Metro Rail livery.

Line your switches for High Iron: Rerailed! After a small break, we're back to work! We've remade the GP40 and knuckle coupler models for High Iron, to be used in our upcoming Rerailed project! Much work is going to be poured into development going forward, revamping everything across the board!

we should actually teach minors that trans people exist and that you might be one and that even if you aren't, you still don't have to be 100% the gender you were assigned at birth. there is no "right time" to broach the subject with young people, unless that time is "as soon as possible"

The Alta California Railway meets Nacionales De Mexico at Guadalajara, commissioned by @interurbanera.bsky.social . (Not gonna lie, this has to be one of the best things I've ever done) If any of you model railroad guys want a portrait of your finest (or grubbiest) motive power, drop us a line!

Still can't believe the latest Epstein Files release just casually confirmed the anti-SJW movement was planned by pedophiles. "The entire reactionary anti-woke backlash was masterminded by child traffickers" is the kinda shit I'd say as hyperbolic agitprop, but it was true the whole time.

with that, i think that's everything for the year! not quite as much as i would've wanted, but sometimes things just get in the way. i hope to make more next year, and to finish all the projects i've already started! i hope those who follow my work have a very good 2026!!!

fluster @flusterco.nekoweb.org · 01/01/2026

now, while i don't usually post about this, i think what i do in Garry's Mod 'Trainbuild' has come far enough along to post about. here's my primary projects i've made this year! the last one was made for @brookesnook.nekoweb.org, but i've also collaborated with them on a few other trains!

Norfolk Southern #5346, an EMD GP38-2, in Garry's Mod, on Sunset Gulch 2.

Conrail #1649, an EMD GP15-1, in Garry's Mod, on Sunset Gulch 2. the lighting of this shot isn't the best, but it's the best shot of it i have on-hand

Conrail #2565, an EMD SD70, in Garry's Mod, on Sunset Gulch 2.

ORCA #9174, a rebuilt Budd RDC, in Garry's Mod, on Sunset Gulch 2. the Olympia Regional Commuter Association is a fictional railway which operates on a fictional Canadian province being conceptualized and written about by my partner and myself. i think this livery, which i designed, looks very cool!!

now, that's everything i've completed for the year... but i've made a lot of progress on some other projects! you will hopefully see these (and all the previously-shown, yet-to-be-released High Iron models) in-game in the near future!

partial side view of an unfinished locomotive; aside from missing its handrails, it's looking quite solid

after that, i briefly turned my attention to making various shipping containers for High Iron. they will be featured on intermodal trains in the future!

A Møller 40-foot intermodal container in bright rainbow colors, based on the real pride containers owned by Maersk! i love pride!!!

around this time, i was asked by @toy-bonnie.bsky.social to model a boxcar for Rails of D.G County. i chose to build a semi-fictional design based on a variety of similar cars operated by narrow gauge railroads in the southwestern US. making a semi-freelanced car, complete with interior, was fun!

while the RS11 was experiencing delays, i painted up five more covered hoppers based on the 4750-cubic-foot capacity cars built by Pullman-Standard in the 1970s and early 1980s. they all wear nice and bright 1970s paint schemes!

afterwards, i began working on another High Iron model, the ALCO RS11 - which was intended to be my 'flagship' model of 2025. this model wound up being delayed, due to waiting on a new set of bogies (not pictured), but a few have been mostly completed, and i had a lot of fun making this cool unit!

my first project of the year was five more EMD GP30 locomotives for @nebulagamesrblx.bsky.social's High Iron! these were quite enjoyable to put together, being more unique railroads i don't often get a chance to model!

fluster @flusterco.nekoweb.org · 01/01/2026

hey, i haven't really kept up with my posting, but, it's time for my annual model recap thread! unfortunately, i did not get to finish as many projects as i had hoped this year, but i had a lot of fun with the projects i worked on!

🔶 had a realization

Top left: Identifying an electric passenger route? Lemme show you something interesting.

Top right: The two types of electric passenger routes are interurban and light rail, based on if the majority of their railcars have toilets. South Shore? Interurban. TTC? Light rail. Sacramento Northern? Interurban. Pittsburgh Railways? Light Rail.

Bottom left: Pacific Electric? Interurban. Key System? Light rail. LA's A Line, despite being almost 58 miles long, is a light rail.
