iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

There's tons of cool challenges this month. For now I think I'll try Novel 90. I recently finished the rough outline for Sunfall, and the cover art is coming along too. This story has evolved SO so much since March. And Joss is getting so babygirl 😭 #writingcommunity

I draw and write for me. Visualizing my feelings is it's own respite given the times, and also a place to belong for when my interests and goals don't really fit anywhere else. Working from a fully authentic place with original, personal content can be a lonely venture. #pretendpanel

One of my favorite songs from them. We need more Ma Kali tearing through the trash. Narasimha too.

They’re all so amazing 😻

Flowlithid @flowlithid.bsky.social · 27/09/2026

Yeah! I convinced another family to get it because it’s fairly big and can store a bunch of stuff in it. It’s way better than the Tabo they had. I’d rather not be eating popcorn out of something meant for washing my yeehaw 💀

Also, check out this popcorn boombox I got for the movie promo 😁

Promotional popcorn tin in the shape of a boombox decorated like Jo’s boombox from Forgotten Island. Worth it.

Saw Forgotten Island; really enjoyed it. It's refreshing to see true FilAm-centered representation & mythologies from the Philippines in something like this. I also think the characters, story twists, attention to cultural & narrative details were really well done. As a FilAm, I finally feel seen 😭

Movie still from Forgotten Island with characters Jo, Raissa and Ra.

Everyone is getting their Youtooz Emperor plushies while ours is still being slowboated to the states. 😩

Chinese meme parody of a POV of a person swimming with the caption "Wait for me. USA is not too far", but the images are replaced by the emperor plushie and his actual gloves in the water.

I bought a wrist wrap some months ago that you can microwave or freeze depending on what you’re needing. Between that, Salonpas and Tiger Balm it’s helped a bit.

Flowlithid @flowlithid.bsky.social · 24/09/2026

Why is it all the “morally grey” AI Hot Guys™ look like variants of Henry Cavil? They are a whole tell and I can’t unsee it. 🫠

Flowlithid @flowlithid.bsky.social · 24/09/2026

SEA worlds and folklore. More brown and Blasian characters. More queer relationships, healthy relationships, subversions of tropes, different shifter types. More thoughtful diversity and representation of characters. These will all be incorporated in my work as well as its art.

#Process video. Soup to nuts, 4 hours of work in 2 mins.

#FrierenChallenge with an attempt at painting Joss this time. There will come a day when I won't blend forms into oblivion. Today is not that day. 🥴 #oc #ocart #characterart #illustration

Thanks! Spite helps when all other motivation fails 😁

This would be year 2 of 3 of recovery for me. To think I was gonna quit art altogether for a job that long ceased being a dream, all because I was shown repeatedly I wasn’t good enough no matter what I tried. Try me now.

Thanks! Now if only I could figure out how to be social while doing all this and the other adulting things 😪

And here's my first rough #sketch of my story cover. I still don't know if this will be a web comic or illustrated novel. I going at this as a one-woman studio; if you're curious how this all will play out, follow along 💕 And for those who've been following, TYSM! #workinprogress #bookcover

Here's 1 of those things: My rough start to my story's artbook, and most of the art I've done this past year. The layouts will change as the final work and copy is placed. The rough cover for the first story will be shared later. #workinprogress #writingcommunity

20yr old me would have her mind blown at what I’m achieving now, and would probably have a meltdown over what it has taken to get there. Nevermind a family secret that would recontextualize their whole life. I can’t say what my life would be like now if I knew it then.

Just now realizing it incorporates the last two teams I was on for Artfight (Crystals and Mystery) 🥴 Intuitive indeed.

Is it just the one author (Elizabeth Wheatley?) going on about clean romance or is this something growing in demand?

Here are some of the #WIPs I referenced for the first two stories, made from August to now, while I've been in the trenches writing this thing. Cuddil is part of the cast in the 2nd story. #writingcommunity #characterart #sketch #folipinofolklore #eldritch #mindflayer #illustration #workinprogress

I remember playing this level…not fondly 😂 There’s a reason I went to a lot of trouble to get the raccoon suit/P-Wing for those levels.

Congratulations on being selected, that’s huge!! 🙌

#ocQOTD Antihero/Villain Collage Lugribossk is back, but more fully mine, with a new chimeric mind flayer race and new name (Kahadlok). He has another colorway and story which I'll share in another post. #oc #illithid #mindflayer

#ocQOTD Couples Collage I decided to do this with my own story and characters. Here's Erssa and Joss' HEA wedding pic, with Joss' cat Pootoo. Their fav place is on their fav people's shoulders. For these two it's his family garden. I got other WIPS to share. too. #oc #WIP #workinprogress #sketch

Collage of light, bright ivory/pastel images and drawings; upper left is a tropical garden (favorite place). Middle left is floral embroidery on ivory colored wicker (Colors of their Love). Lower left is a cover image from David Bedingfield's single "If you're not the one." Upper right is detaied embroidery on pina fabric (Aesthetic). Middle right is is a gold unity cord with white flowers (Ring/Special object). Bottom right is a watermarked image of Joss as his other mind flayer form, crouching and scared, overlaid by lyrics from the song referenced above: "I don't wanna run away, but I can't help it, I don't undertstand. If I'm not made for you then why does my heart tell me that I am?" (Song quote). Middle pic is of my characters Erssa (black asian) with a Sampaguita arrangement in her hair, gold accessories, Warm Ivory toned Tapis Lawas with an Alampay. Joss has a light colored barong with fold lacing. His wing is above her head, shielding her like a parosol. Both are mid dance.

This is why I have a lot of trouble reading Babel. It has that to the point of being triggering, on top of overt racism and misogyny in an imperialist setting. It’s really well written, though.
