There's tons of cool challenges this month. For now I think I'll try Novel 90. I recently finished the rough outline for Sunfall, and the cover art is coming along too. This story has evolved SO so much since March. And Joss is getting so babygirl 😭 #writingcommunity

I draw and write for me. Visualizing my feelings is it's own respite given the times, and also a place to belong for when my interests and goals don't really fit anywhere else. Working from a fully authentic place with original, personal content can be a lonely venture. #pretendpanel

Saw Forgotten Island; really enjoyed it. It's refreshing to see true FilAm-centered representation & mythologies from the Philippines in something like this. I also think the characters, story twists, attention to cultural & narrative details were really well done. As a FilAm, I finally feel seen 😭

Movie still from Forgotten Island with characters Jo, Raissa and Ra.

#ocQOTD Couples Collage I decided to do this with my own story and characters. Here's Erssa and Joss' HEA wedding pic, with Joss' cat Pootoo. Their fav place is on their fav people's shoulders. For these two it's his family garden. I got other WIPS to share. too. #oc #WIP #workinprogress #sketch

Collage of light, bright ivory/pastel images and drawings; upper left is a tropical garden (favorite place). Middle left is floral embroidery on ivory colored wicker (Colors of their Love). Lower left is a cover image from David Bedingfield's single "If you're not the one." Upper right is detaied embroidery on pina fabric (Aesthetic). Middle right is is a gold unity cord with white flowers (Ring/Special object). Bottom right is a watermarked image of Joss as his other mind flayer form, crouching and scared, overlaid by lyrics from the song referenced above: "I don't wanna run away, but I can't help it, I don't undertstand. If I'm not made for you then why does my heart tell me that I am?" (Song quote). Middle pic is of my characters Erssa (black asian) with a Sampaguita arrangement in her hair, gold accessories, Warm Ivory toned Tapis Lawas with an Alampay. Joss has a light colored barong with fold lacing. His wing is above her head, shielding her like a parosol. Both are mid dance.
