Please be honest with me. Do I need a different cover? I've been told that my book cover is killing my sales. Premise: Merlot realizes that he has a strange power to create insects out of his imagination after he survives a shipwreck. #booksky Genre: fantasy/interior life

Drew a shelf for my fictional music company's office. The rockstar chibi figures are all on the shelf to represent the band. 🎶

Is anyone interested in reading my romance ebook as an ARC? It's about a girl from a wealthy family who loves to crochet. She mistakes her old friend for her crochet doll (she lost it and thought it came to life 😆) It's just a novella, so it'll barely take much of your time 🥺 #booksky #booktok

Annotating a book I wrote myself. Ik I sound hella emotional, but that's how it makes me feel. Writing it was quite therapeutic, though. #booksky

Seriously, DON’T draw every day. That’s how I developed a repetitive strain injury and had to take an extended break from drawing for months while it healed. That was over a decade ago and it STILL gives me trouble if I draw for a few hours without taking a break. Please, please take breaks 😭

I will never forget how this legendary anime made me cry when I was a kid 😢 "Princess Tutu" along with the movie "Barbie of Swan Lake" has shaped my writing forever. Though I hope that someday, I can make something as iconic as Tchaikyovsky's creations.

🐺 werewolf ex 🪄 wizard on the run 🗡️ a dead body 😱 teleportation gone wrong 🧵 soul bond 😍 second chance romance A story about second chances and forgiveness, and who the true monsters are. 📚🪐📚🌈📚💙 📚 🤏 DL/Buy: jdrivers.itch.io/we-drink-the...

Cover for "We drink the thunderstorm" by JD Rivers, a short story. dark stormy clouds, lightning going down. The background is black and gray, then there is a circle with mainly purple colors highlighting the lightning striking down. A few power lines can be seen as black stripes.
The cover is made by the author. The picture is taken from Unplash by NOAA

We drink the thunderstorm

Arell de Borge had only one heartbeat before light flooded the hallway, blinding him.
“The hell?” someone growled.
Should he first give in to the bile in his throat, or the black dots in his vision? Arell leaned back against the entry door, squeezing his eyes shut. He had known the door was there, just as he knew that to his right was a small rug with scuffed boots and to his left a small door leading to an even smaller closet. He knew this house as well as he knew the mansion he had grown up in.
“Care to explain?”
And he knew that voice.
Arell carefully blinked against the light, shadows and shapes transforming into furniture and bits and pieces. He knew everything by heart, as if he had stepped out mere hours ago and not seven years past.
“I’m waiting.” Tristan Lupin hadn’t changed in the last years, his form bulky, his face a bit too sharp, his dark hair the same untamable mess.

Almost every novella I write has a scene with rain 🌧 It's probably because all the rain we get in Bangladesh lol. Most of my work is set in imaginary settings, though. Trying to change that.

Were you a fan of Strawberry Shortcake as a kid? Or maybe you were into witches and magic. Well, whatever the case is, I have a novella that serves both purposes. I plan on making this a series. The first protagonist is a strawberry-themed witch, the second is cherry, and third is lychee. #booksky
