I spent summers from age 8 thru 16, at the Virginian pool. Every Labor Day weekend was bitter sweet. Today I decided to swing by my old pool with Biggie. It was filled in a few years ago, but the poolside deck is still there. I stood in what use to be the deep end and got a strange shadow. An omen?
