Remembering my great uncle, Private Michael Francis Kennedy, Royal Newfoundland Regiment, one of The First 500 “Blue Puttees, killed in action in the battle of Beaumont Hamel, July 1, 1916. We honour all who served, and those who serve to protect us still. Democracy is a precious thing.
