Subjective Being-ness follows from Free Will – Blog Linas
Why do we humans experience subjective reality, of being, loving, hurting or just plain-old being hungry? Why is the past untouchable, unvisitable, unviewable except through memories? Why does it seem that the future is unwritten, and that we can create our own future? Why do we exist only in the here-and-now? The present moment seems to rocket into the future, leaving the wake of the past behind. We seem to have free will, the ability to chose what will happen next; limited, to be sure, by our surroundings, our upbringing, our genetics and character, to be sure, but still, a freedom to talk and act as we wish.
