I mean, they're already refusing the HPV vaccine (or doing so on behalf of their vulnerable children), right? news.cancerresearchuk.org/2026/06/18/n...

Cuts the other way, too. I don't want my patient recording my every move or utterance, then putting something edited or out of context online. I've had patients misrepresent my actions, or flat-out lie, more than a few times.

Journos happy to put on flak jackets, take some selfies, then back behind the lines for a G&T on the old expense account. How many put on PPE and a moldy N95 to get up close and personal? Or visit granny in a SNF?

Every one of those chucklefucks would have run sobbing or screaming from an ER or ICU. I think HIPPA, and the fact that it was up close and personal, made the reporting terrible during the pandemic, and time has just solidified their deep terror, especially re: the early part (just after delta).

Lewis - I'm a 20yr ER nurse, and you are correct, but extremely short-sighted in your analysis. Even if children were reservoirs of disease, and at no personal risk, they were spreading a disease that was killing their parents, grandparents and teachers, and creating disaster areas out of hospitals.

I worked with colleagues who lived in an RV outside their house, for months, for the same reason. I cried when I watched them get vaccinated, because they might get to spend time with their children.

I didn't see my mother for the better part of 2 years - she was in the middle of treatment for breast cancer, and I had to tell her "I'm the most dangerous person you know; I work in an ER, and might not even know I'm contagious."

We ran into the SAME burning building, day after day, for months; I had to use the same N95 until it turned to paste and fell apart, family members telling me that I was only into it for the money, that it was a hoax, and then shouting "do something!" when it became clear to them that it wasn't.

They stopped letting me train students years back - too many complaints to mgmt - "he asked me whether I was taking care of a patient, or a screen," and "what does he mean, 'Well behaved nurses don't make history, '" Now, all the training is done by nurses with perfect charts and ignored patients.

i had a young patient whose younger sister (can't remember details, but about your son's age) had saved his life with an epi-pen (and a call to EMS) because she knew what was going on, had been trained to use the pen, and kept her shit together.

Never did I think I would see a cure for sickle cell in my lifetime. A friend of mine in fifth grade died from this disease. My parents kept me home from the funeral because they thought I was too young to handle it. Modern science is a miracle. www.wafb.com/2026/06/23/n...

Repost this if you "share a similar ideology" to these kind, decent, community-minded people who took a brave stand against the same American fascism which has just condemned them to spend most of the rest of their lives in federal prison for attending a peaceful protest

My sensei was shocked that American schools had people on staff to clean. He said it was part of education to clean up after yourself.

this is wild: while Stephen Miller's guy was in Minnesota for his uncle's funeral, somebody was able to see his entire phone and take pictures of his Signal group chats talking about military deployments to Portland, and brought them to the Strib (gift link: www.startribune.com/trump-offici...)

This is Virginia Guiffre's statement to Ghislane Maxwell, read by Guiffre's attorney in court the day Maxwell was sentenced. I had to divide it into 2 parts. Please read each & share. These are the words of a child rape victim, a victim of the monster Trump now protecting & arranging her freedom.
