I know it feels similar but this Man City is very much different than the 2011-12 Oldco Rangers situation. Big difference is Oldco financially died before they could be punished for financial doping. You also don’t have national sports media & football federation running interference for the club.

After reading the report. Manchester City should not only be stripped of hardware, they should be sent to the bottom rung of English football. Not the Championship, League 1/2 nor National league - the regionals. Next to match fixing, I can’t think of a bigger breach of the rules by a club.
